Horrible stand placement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We loved the idea of buying this 50" TV, it has amazing quality picture, however in our apartment our location for tv required a corner TV stand unit. No where were there details of the dementions of the legs (how far apart, how wide legs were, etc). The width of TV woukd have been perfect, however the leg style does not work with the shape of our corner unit, we had to return and purchase a different brand, with different type of base, as wall hanging was not an option. Attached is picture of stand we are using that tv would not work on.

Q: Questionwhat is the ditance from stand to stand lengthwise?I need to make sure it fits on my TV console table. In the picture, the stands are slightly inside the full length of the screen. I need the measurement from outside of stand on left to outside of stand on right running lengthwise with the screen. Thanks!

Q: QuestionDoes this TV have 4k upscaling?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes. I went from and LCD to this LED, so I don't know if my Bluray movies look better because of the LED light or the upscaling, but they look amazing. All video sources show full screen by default.

Q: QuestionBest settings for this TV to get the best out of the picture?I've had this TV for about a month or so now and the picture looks good with what I have it set on just wanted any input from someone that owns this also. Thanks.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I just posted my review and I greatly enhanced my picture by following 3 tips from Consumer Reports - I turned off noise reduction, I ran sharpness down to zero and I turned off the anti-judder feature of motion smoothing. I know it sounds counter-intuitive to turn them off, but those three things really made a difference. I also turned down the brightness a little but now we're just getting into personal preference. Try it, you can always reset if these don't work for you.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between the m49-c1 model and the m50-c1
Asked by keith.
- A:Answer The 49 inch set uses a different display technology---IPS---rather than the VA on the 50 inch. The 50 inch technology will provide better contrast while the IPS panel will provide slightly better viewing angles. If you do not plan to view from extreme angles, definitely purchase the superior display technology of the 50 inch.
