I struggled for months to pick out the right graphic tablet for me. I did originally order a Cintiq 22HD, however due to poor research on my part. I literally researched everything other aspect about them usability/reviews/etc but I failed to realize that I didn't have the correct ports to support it (it looked amazing though! Loved the stand sooooo much. Getting a Cintiq 22HD is definitely on my future purchase wish list) I then downsized to the 13HD that does work with my computers ports and am THRILLED with the results. I'm still learning all the quick buttons, but so far it runs like a dream. The biggest (and only honestly) complaint I have is the "stand" feature that comes with this felt a little chancy to me, especially after seeing the awesomeness of the 22HD, that stand is just amazing. But this is really still a non issue for me personally as due to this size I just sit it on my laptop lap desk and draw that way. The pen came with a wonderful carrying case to secure it and all it's replacement parts (nibs/color rings). There's also a little pen holder that you can either insert the pen or lay it on top of so you don't have to worry about losing it if you take a break from your work. The pen itself is also very comfortable to hold. All in all I'm in love with this product.

It's a huge step up if you haven't been able to draw directly on the screen. But it's not mobile. For me, the cord lengths work perfect, I can keep it set up on my desk, or draw on the floor or couch, so long as I have a place to set my macbook off to the side. True freedom would probably be one of the higher end Cintiq tablets, but weighing the costs and new programs needed, it made sense to stick with the 13HD. You can tweak a lot, and even make your marks start to appear a little off center if your mimicking ink brush, so I find all the options I have as nice if not better than paper. I'm not sure I'm sold on the texture of the screen, it may take some time to get used to it, since it isn't like paper at all. Still, considering my old process it's a great time saver in the digital art realm. I spent almost a year debating this one product after narrowing it down, and my only regret is that now i feel like I have no excuses not to draw.

The tablet it bigger then I thought it would be. It has great picture and doesn't lag a lot. It acts like a second monitor for my laptop(it has to be plugged in for it to work; it WILL NOT work by itself it has to be plugged into a computer). The pen doesn't need batteries which is excellent. However there are a lot of cables to plug in which I wasn't expecting. It takes up a USB port and the wires aren't very long so I have to use an extension cord. Also I'm left handed but the tablet is more orientated for right handed people. I haven't found a way to properly configure the tablet so it would be more comfortable to press the buttons. Other than the inconvient cords this is a perfect tablet for drawers, graphic designers or anyone who loves to do any digital art.

I've been doing illustrations and animations by on paper up until now. At first, the pen precision seemed off but it was spot-on once I did the calibration within Wacom's app on my computer (Mac). Yes, I needed an HDMI adapter for my Mac laptop, but luckily, I already had one, so no problems there. My #1 preference in tablet would've been wireless and capable of being a stand-alone tablet, but on a budget, this is great! It doesn't react to touch, just the pen, so my palm doesn't interfere. Works just fine with Photoshop, so far. Need to test it in Illustrator & Flash. Comes with 30-day trial of Corel Painter and a free copy of Anime Studio Debut.

Issue with platic boarder around screen

I would have given this a perfect score. BUT because of wacom's terrible customer support, i have given this a 4 start. I've contacted wacom via e-mail dozens of time because of an issue I'm having with the boarder around the screen. It seems to be peeling up for some reason. I find it odd, because it's done nothing but sit on my desk most of the 9 months I've had it. I wanted to know if they'd fix/replace it or refund me, but no response at all. I've seen 5 emails over a months span so far. Just be careful of what you buy from them. Maybe purchase the warranty from bestbuy if they have it. Its better than dealing with wacom at all.

Ideally, I would've purchased the tablet version of this so I could do some of my work on the go, but for my budget, this works great! I might be buying the wireless components in the future to eliminate excessive cables, otherwise I'm quite satisfied. Precision pen and pressure sensitivity works well for detailed projects. It was actually easy to use my laptop screen as my second monitor for reference while working primarily with the pen display. If the pen gets off track, use the display toggle button, if that doesn't bring it back, just recalibrate the pen (takes only a few seconds if you leave the calibration window open in the background).

The Cintiq 13hd has really helped me become a better graphic designer. It has really improved my art ,and how I look at digital art as a whole. This product has a fast learning curve too so you'll get used to it in a few hours or so. The graphics tablet I started with was the Huion 420 which was a great tablet to start with ;however, I wanted to get more in depth with digital art so I switched to the Cintiq. A big leap in price and performance, but it was well worth the money.

My adult daughter truly has an artists eye and heart. She has trained and expanded her natural abilities and can and does work with any medium. She has of late been creating 3D imagery for print and creating 3D computer files for 3D printers. The one medium she had loved working with to make her illustrated story pages but did not possess was a Cintiq. This 13HD is the perfect size for designing and drawings as it is based on the size of a standard sheet paper and because of Best Buy's great sale I was finally able to acquire one for her. It is incredible how fast, complex and professional looking the finished designs she creates come to life.
