Customers have good things to say about the Lithium Ion +™ Beard Trimmer's long battery life, ease of use, and quality. Overall I am not impressed with this for a couple reasons. One, as I read in other reviews it does snag and pull on hair with general use. This occurred with slow movement through the hair, and not fast movement like getting your head shaved on day one of Marine boot camp. I bought it to use to trim my beard. The second reason is the guards do not do what I need. The size from small to large is good, however the #1/2 to #4 guards are the same distance from the flat of the blade, and that does not increase until guard #5. The teeth are longer, but they are not deeper. So to use the "deepness of the guards through #4, you have to have the teeth pointing towards the hair, and not have the flat slide of the clipper parallel to the area you are trimming. I've included photos of the guards, and then guard #1/2, #4, and #5 attached to the clippers to illustrate my points.
