I noticed that some of the other comments infer that the instructions for putting this unit together leave a lot to be desired. I am a female who lives alone and no longer has patience or time for this type of detail so I opted to purchase the furniture assembly and, for my circumstances, was very happy I made this choice. The additional $130 is well worth the elimination of the apparent aggravation associated with assembling the unit. Along with the TV stand, I purchased a Vizio 65” TV, Rocketfish tilting wall mount, LG 2.1 Soundbar and wireless sub-woofer and digital amplifier. I opted for the delivery and mount of the TV (another $130 for this service but, again, for my purposes, well worth it). All items, except the TV were either delivered or picked up (mount) at my local store. The TV was delivered by two Geek Squad Agents, who completed the TV stand assembly, TV mount/connect/setup within 1 hr. 45 min. These items are phase 1 in a total transformation of my living room and I couldn’t be happier with my purchases. I am totally in love with the TV stand. It is sturdy, and stylish. All of the purchases are perfect for my needs. Note: Beware if you live alone, are not particularly strong and are without easy access to family, friends or neighbors you can enlist to assist you with heavy deliveries. I live on the second floor of an apartment building and my TV stand, which is 250 lbs., was delivered by UPS when I was not at home and was left at the bottom of the steps (leaning upward onto the steps while the bottom was partially obstructing my 1st floor neighbor’s doorway). The box was much too heavy for me to haul up the stairs (even with a hand truck) so I, ultimately, had to open one end of the box to remove various pieces of the unit separately until the box was light enough for me to bring the remainder upstairs on the hand truck (about 75 lbs. worth). Just a side note because ‘delivery’ no longer means to your door (ESPECIALLY if the item is heavy).

Ordered this tv stand on cyber monday. Was pleased with how fast it arrived at the store for pick up. When I opened the box the very first piece (the top) was damaged. The package was not damaged so I surmised that the piece had been placed there damaged. However, best buy was good at taking my return and I had them order another one. Before I get ahead of myself I wanted to explain that the stand is made of pressed sawdust. It's not even particle board, just saw dust. Anyway, I decided to go ahead with ordering another one and was once again pleased that it came early. I was happy that I would have it for Christmas. I opened the box to begin assembly and removed all the pieces. Once again I noticed minor damage to some of the pieces. I quickly determined that the damage was minor enough and out of the way enough to go ahead with the assembly. The instructions state that you will need a phillips head screwdriver. You will actually need about three different sizes, one being extremely small. The next thing I noticed was that the screws never tightened. All screws stripped out...EVERY SINGLE ONE. The instructions are weak at best and not complete. I had to figure somethings out on my own. The materials are super cheap. Luckily I got it together without too much damage. Because of the very bad instructions I would assemble something only to have to disassemble it and start over again. I have all the tools necessary to do the job ad I am usually very good at assembling things, but not this. It said it would take about 2 hours to assemble but ir took me about 3 1/2 hours. It said that a colored marker was included to mark over any scratches, but that was not included. The marker would have been nice because, just like the first one, it came with some minor damage. The doors on the unit are supposed to be adjustable but I could never get them just right. I went with the $300+ unit because I didn't want one of the crapier under $200 ones. When will I ever learn that quality is a thing of the past? I thought I was doing good by ordering a more expensive unit but I was wrong! If you want to spend over $300 of your hard earned money on a piece of junk like this, it's your choice. In hindsight I should have just gone to a real furniture store and forked out about $1500 for something real!

      Looks Nice

This TV stand is decent, but overpriced. At over $320, it should come already assembled or be well enough made that the wood doesn't crack when you screw it together. Or both. Luckily, the crack is on the inside of one of the doors, so is not very noticeable. The back to the TV stand is nothing more than glorified painted cardboard. Kind of the standard these days, but again...cheaper construction than desired. While it took awhile to put together (with three people it took a little over an hour), the finished product looks great. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone on a budget who wants something stylish yet decently made.

Overall, the unit is well constructed and relatively easy to put together. The materials are all very good quality. The glass panels were a bit difficult to put into place, because they used very small screws to help keep them into place. My only other complaint would be that there are only two holes on the back side for wires. It makes more sense to have a hole for each shelf, so you can place different electronics (DVD player, receiver, cable box) on different shelves, since everything will not fit on the top shelf. Overall, a good unit, but wish it had some other additions.

The cabinet required complete assembly. There was 30+ parts not including hardware. The instructions were very vague and hard to follow. So when one of the pieces didn't seem to fit right, my wife and I agonized over the instructions for 2 days trying to decide if I had assembled it correctly. I finally went on the company website and was pleased with how easy it was to request a replacement part. The part arrived in 10 days. I completed the assembly and we are very happy with the final product. It is a quality piece of furniture.

I am a frequent Best Buy buyer and I am not happy with my purchase. One, I was not expecting the furniture to be delivered dis-asssembled. For what it had cost for the product, I expected the furniture to be shipped assembled and ready to use. Way too much time spent to build this product! Second, many parts within the shipping container were received damaged. It had taken way too long and many days to get the damaged product replaced with a good one.

My husband and I love this tv stand. We shopped thoroughly for an appropriate tv stand that wasn't too large for our apartment, and also matched our classy barware and dining set. This tv stand was VERY easy to put together and arrived without any flaws to the hardware. We reviewed ALL reviews prior to purchase, and this tv stand SUCCEEDED our expectations based on reviews. 5 stars. Worth the cost. We love it.

Rustic Highboy wood TV Stand appearance is good

Walker Edison Rustic Highboy wood TV stand is good. There is only one problem the back panel where there is openings for the wires of the cable box or CD player is only located at the top, the second shelf doesn't have an opening if you want to run wires through. I had to place my DVR player on top of the unit where I have the TV
