I really like and most importantly my wife really likes it. It wasn’t too hard to put together but it’s very nice to have two people doing it. Took a couple hours and some cursing but I find it hard to believe any fireplace is easy to put together. The benefit of this one is the use of cambolts and wooden dowels which makes things easier. The directions were also easy to follow. Lastly for the price, you can’t beat it.
Great unit! Assembly time was about 4 1/2 hours, although I did have to backtrack a couple of times. The only drawback I can see to the finished product is that a stronger fan would move the heat a little farther into the room.
A:AnswerThis produces 4400 BTUs, and can heat an area of up to 400 sq. ft. The glass itself doesn't get hot, but can get warm, and has a safety mechanism which shuts off if it overheats. This insert doesn't have a thermostat, but it does have a blower.
Best Buy offers an in-home set up service called "Geek Squad" that can assemble the item for you. You would need to speak with Best Buy directly to set that up and get details. Hope this helps!
The flames do flicker and have a realistic look, but they don't make any sounds. It can heat up to about 400 sq. feet, and has two switches on the face of the unit that will allow you to control heat and flames separately.
