I was going to build it myself as I have my own wood shop. I checked out the amount I would have to put out in wood and other materials and I could even come close to its price. I also had other things in the works at the time.
It isn't a bit shaky, it's down right sturdy. I mainly wanted it to hide the rats nest of wires(TV, Router, Cable Box, Blue Ray Player, and Sound System) something that my more modern stand didn't do.
We redid our whole living room and it was the icing on the cake. I would like to hire the guy that did it in 45 minutes to do some work for me, but I took my time and did it in about an hour and a half. Instructions on anything can get a little hairy at times.
Overall it is a very nice stand and well worth the money. I highly recommend it for people of all experience levels. It really is a nice piece of furniture Over all it is a very nice stand and well worth the money. I highly recommend it .
On a side note I always recommend Best Buy. According to Microsoft I went on line with them In 1979. It was DOS back then as Windows hadn't been released yet. I can't tell you for sure when Best Buy opened their doors in Columbus Ohio, but I haven't bought a computer ( and I have had a lot of them,3 right now) or any other electronics from anyone else since then. They have always treated me good and I won't buy from anyone else. I expected no difference with the TV stand and I was correct in my assumption .
