    Nice piece for the money

I'd read a few reviews that said it didn't fit together very well etc. Thankfully, my experience was a bit better. Yes, it's made in China, no, it's not something that was handmade by a craftsman. But for an inexpensive TV stand, its pretty heavy duty, and looks nice. As for assembly, I didn't time myself, but it took a couple hours. I should mention I built it in a spare bedroom and not my garage workshop because the boxed unit was over 70 lbs, and I moved it upstairs with a hand truck before opening the packaging. Bottom line, it went together well, and once built its sturdy and able to handle the 32" TV I bought it for. If I had a complaint, one part was missing. There was supposed to be a small block of wood for mounting the magnetic door lock not included. I searched the box several times making sure I didn't miss it somehow. My solution was to move the metal contact plates to the bottom of the two doors, and move the magnetic locking piece to the bottom shelf as well. I had to drill a total of 4 holes for the attachment screws, but it was no big deal, and it's now complete and ready to put in our bedroom.

    Piece of Junk

I researched for a nice TV stand for the brand new 48 inch TV I purchased through BestBuy, and since I have purchased many items through them before I figured this would be a good product. I had to order it on line and have it delivered to my home. Which, in the scheme of things was a good thing, however, when I attempted to get it put together, I found out it was a piece of junk. Not worth the money or the time I spent on getting it. The top won't fit on the rest of the body. I have it mostly put together and glued the dowels, so now I can't get it apart. When I tried to put the top on it, the cam's won't lock down, The wood split. The top is warped and now I have a piece of junk furniture sitting in my family room, with no way of being used. Now I am worried on how to get this thing picked up and my money back. I can't even get it in the box because it is glued. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. It's a piece of junk. I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy. I wouldn't even rate this one star, but I can't rate it anything lower.

Excellent surface and glass but shy 1 inch

Got a new flat TV, needed a bigger cabinet. This shows books and TV-related boxes inside the cabinet. Except for one small detail. My BlueRay player/Theater sound box fits IF I DON"T PLUG IN CABLES. With cables plugged in the back, the doors will not close. If there was one inch more depth to the cabinet I could put the DVD/theater sound box inside the closed doors. This cabinet is excellent otherwise. I can't cut slots for the plugs because that is the back load bearing frame. Otherwise this would be a 5-star. The false-wood finish is extremely good, and the glass doors have BEVELED GLASS! Just be sure to measure your support electronics boxes if you want to take advantage of the nice cable-routing holes.

After receiving the "flat pack" delivered to my front door and so heavy I had to slide the box inside, I discovered a large package of bolts was missing. I immediately emailed the company (as instructed in the booklet of instructions). After filling out a lengthy questionnaire and submitting it, I didn't receive the parts for 10 days. At this point, I'm waiting for my helper to reschedule assistance time. It'll be interesting to see how it all goes together. Should you order this item, be sure to count all of the many parts to be sure everything's there before you begin putting it all together. Also, line up a helper due to the weight of the item.

We had a very hard time putting this together because the holes for the screws were not cut in exactly the right place on the pieces that had to be screwed together, therefore causing the construction of it to be off. One side of it fits exactly right and the other side is off. As a result, the top of it did not fit properly on one side and the door on that side did not close properly. I would not recommend this to anyone mainly for that reason. Also, some of the screws did not fit properly. They seemed to only go a little way in and then become stripped.

I like my TV stand. My only complaint is that one piece on the back did not fit properly. I tried it twice and I don't think it was anything I did wrong, I think it was just misshapen. There is about a 1/8 inch wide gap on one side of 1 panel in the back. I cannot see it from the front so I don't care, but I'm giving 4 stars because of it. This TV stand is attractive, has glass doors to keep the dust out and it's not so huge that i cannot move or manage it. I'm happy with my purchase.

Great looking TV stand and you wouldn't know it was a build it yourself item! Definitely have the Geek Squad assemble it in your home!! It took them a long time to assemble it, but they did a great job!! It was well worth the $ I paid to have them do it! The description says the stand fits up to a 48" TV, but my 50" tv fit perfectly and looks really good too! The doors open and close really good with no problems! This stand doesn't cost a lot of money, but it is a great buy!

easy to assemble but have two people when laying on top piece. Also when opening up it has a wood grained 18x6 inch piece used as packing material on both ends of the box. It is used as packing material. It is NOT part of the assembly. Beautiful piece when finished and the glass doors have an excellent fit. Great buy. We love it. You can have it shipped to your home or to a local best buy. prefer to have shipped to home because it is kind of heavy.
