Q: QuestionWhat's the difference between WD's easystore series and My Passport series? Why the price difference? Is the functionality and reliability the same?
Asked by Vincent.
- A:Answer If "the Easystore series does not have built-in encryption/ password protection utilities. Additionally, the Easystore drives are not of as high a quality and come with a shorter warranty period". Then why is the Easystore more expensive than the Passport when the Passport has better features?

Q: QuestionWill this work with my xbox one ?
Asked by Chris.
- A:Answer Yes, Xbox 1 supports third party external hard drives to be used to serve as either the main storage or backup storage. I know this, because I am currently using (2) 4TB seagates on both of my xbox 1's and they work perfectly fine. I have over 90 games, and its barely over 40% full. As long as the external drive has a USB connection, you will be able to connect it to the xbox to format the drive to work with the xbox.

Q: QuestionCan this be used for a ps4 system as well?
Asked by Nid.
- A:Answer Yes. I currently use it for my PS4 and my PS4 pro. You just have to format the hard drive once you connect it to the ps4, but its super simple and anyone can do it. You literally just follow the steps and takes about 1 minute or so.

Q: QuestionIf I am planning on reformat this for a MAC, would I be able to store files and backups on it or only Backups or only files?
Asked by ElenaVam.
- A:Answer You can do both, when you first hook it up to your mac you will have to reformat it. Afterwards it will ask you if you want to use it with time machine. Select yes and you can store your files and time machine backups together.
