A: Yes the 4TB model can be configured in RAID 1 mode which would provide a 2TB backup drive with the other 2TB drive a mirror image. This setup is just like the 8TB model.
A: The My Cloud EX2 Ultra can be setup in RAID 0,1; JBOD & spanning. Therefore the device can be used as a 4TB backup, or 2ea 2TB drives which mirror the backup for redundancy, JBOD (just a bunch of drives) or spanning, where the 2 drives are used as one large drive. The simple answer is yes but it has different meanings of "occupied" based upon how you set the device to perform.
A: Hey Mike, I logged into the UI of mine and under settings found this., I would say yes it does have it. In my case something on my network is almost always accessing it so I couldn't tell you first hand but the option is definitely there.
Q: Is this unit already has its own OS? Do I need to install the required OS like windows 10?
