Q: I have a MacPro and a PC. Do I need 2 of these , one for each system?
A: Hi Chas, The WD My Passport SSD is formatted as a single exFAT partition which is compatible with both Windows and Mac OS computers. However, Time Machine backups can not be configured on an exFAT drive and require reformatting to HFS+ format. Now, the limitation with the HFS+ drive is that it is not supported by Windows OS.
