Q: Questiondoes this automatically save from your PC or must you manually copy and save from PC?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer If you configure it to do this automatically it does it, however I prefer doing this manually since that way I'm pretty sure which files are the ones I want to back up and which ones not.

Q: QuestionIt says USB 3.0/2.0 but will it really work with only the 2.0?
Asked by JG.
- A:Answer It will work with any computer that has USB 3.0 or 2.0 like my Alienware. This type of external hard drive that is 3.0/2.0 is the best to have than you will not have to worry what kind of USB port the computer has. The only difference with 3.0 is faster transferring of files.

Q: Questionwill this work out of the box with a macbook pro? needs reformatting?will this work out of the box with a macbook pro? will i need to reformat to use? if so, is that a complicated process and will i be better off buying the 2tb mac version?

- A:Answer This HD will work with a MAC but yes, it will need to be reformatted. It's actually a very easy process. Plug in the HD. Go into applications, utilities, then disk utility. You'll see the HD listed on the left side of the window. Click it. When you do you will some tabs to the right. Go to the tab that says erase. There will be a drop down menu where you will select what format you want. Chose the one for MAC and then click format. You can also choose FAT32 format which will allow you to use the HD on both MAC and PC but there are pros and cons to doing that. Hope this helped, if not, try YouTube

Q: QuestionFor PC AND MAC?Will this work with pc and mac interchangeably?
Asked by HK.
- A:Answer This drive can be formatted either to operate in a windows or Mac O/S. If you are looking to use this drive for a Windows O/S environment as well as a MAC O/S environment it is possible but not right out of the box. I would suggest reading this article from CNET regarding how you can. http://www.cnet.com/how-to/the-best-ways-to-format-an-external-drive-for-windows-and-mac/
