Good
Pros • High Capacity Available - Up to 4TB (The older model when released had up to 3TB capacity, up until a 6/28/16 release of a short lived 4TB model) • Testing suggests slightly faster data transfer rate • Now available in 6 colors. Same as Old Model Nothing Changed • Automatic local and cloud backup • Optional 256-bit AES hardware encryption • Comes in same 4 colors, they still offer black, blue, red and white (+ yellow and orange) • USB 3.0 connectivity • Formatted for Windows, reformatting required for Mac • Same operating temperature • USB 3.0 up to 5 Gb/s (max) / USB 2.0 compatible up to 480 Mb/s (max) • Operating temperature: 5°C to 35°C / Non-op. temperature: –20°C to 65°C Cons • Introduction of odd shape to part of the new casing • Round corners are now replaced with sharp/pointy edges • Fingerprints and scratching more visible on new model • Some colors may be too bright for some, and previous version berry, became brighter red (note this con is highly subjective) • Overall size of new model is not smaller. (Actually a tiny bit bigger, about 1.5 mm bigger) • 1TB weight went a bit up from 0.34 lbs to 0.37 lbs, 2TB ,3TB & 4 TB weight went a bit up too from 0.50 lbs to 0.54 lbs • Warranty dropped down from 3 Years to 2 Years

Perfect
This was brought to use with the XBox One to give extra storage space. It's been a great doing just that. My hubby has been able to load a lot of his games onto this and free up space on the XBox.
