Q: does the drawer open all the way with the foot pedal? Totally hands-free?
A: Pressing the foot pedal opens the container only 3" to 6" (7.6 cm to 15.2 cm), depending on the load.
Q: Where is the buttons to push on it
A: The only "button" is a foot pedal hidden on the right side of the unit which activates the crushing cycle. Have had for 3 months and my old compactor had both a pedal and buttons and I thought that I might not like just the pedal, but so far no issues
