Whistler - Radar/Laser Detector

This is a pretty good detector but it does pronounce sunlight as a laser. It's also a modular unit and some parts, such as the rear laser detector, is optional and hard to find. Although the pictures on the web page shows the rear laser detector as one of the included parts, once you get it, the installation booklet states its optional. Overall, it's a decently priced detector and the current sale price is even better.

We never installed it. When the instructions said we had to drill holes in the front of our car and remove our dashboard to install wiring, we put it back in the box and took it back to the store for a refund. They don't let you know any of this before you order it. Whatever happened to the kind of radar detectors that you could just plug into your cigarette lighter and take a suction cup and stick it to your windshield, turn it on and go?
