Nintendo Wii U Deluxe + 4 Games.
|Posted .This system is awesome. I've loved Nintendo ever since I was a child. I took my whole system to a Christmas party and my friends had a blast, they wish they had this console. We had such fun playing against and with each other. Better online play and communication features are definitely a plus. The Wii U GamePad tablet that was included I had to get used to because I came from standard controllers, but it's still an enjoyable experience. One of the downsides about this is that there is no Ethernet port on the Wii U. Online play will still vary, I found that out very quickly with Super Smash Bros. Wii U, I have barely been able to win a single match because of a lag somewhere around 0.3 seconds, not sure if having an Ethernet-USB adapter will solve this because the lag is always consistent. I very much hope Nintendo is considering building their next console with an Ethernet port and perhaps a better, more reliable wireless card as they're in the midst of putting together next-generation stuff right now. Another downside is that I always hear talk about Nintendo's consoles not being powerful enough to support graphically-demanding games that they could be having developed for their console. I can't help to agree, I'd love to see Nintendo step it up next time with at least a strong quad-core CPU, a higher-tier GPU, and more RAM so that games can have breathing room for dedicated RAM usage. I'm waiting for the day where another RPG game for one game series or perhaps a cross-over for a few of Nintendo's game series' utilizes all these at high graphic detail. One of the biggest improvements that Nintendo made to this system is the HDMI port along with surround sound. High-definition Nintendo games (60fps at that!) is one thing I've been badly wanting for a long time. I still have yet to utilize the surround sound, but it will be cranked up on high volume when I do. Another thing is online features, I'd like to see more features and better quality features if Nintendo plans on doing things like DLC. Promotions, contests within games, online game challanges and giveaways would be a few examples. The last thing I want to leave on is that the fact that I got 4 games with this bundle instead of just 2 is amazing. Great for the whole family and friends. Money well-spent.

So many things to do with it!!
|Posted .I like that I can play it like a normal wii. You can turn your tv into a smart tv. You can use your remote to watch or play games while using the tv to watch something else. You can use it to do yoga! It's awesome! Best thing since ninetindo 64!

Love this WIIU game
|Posted .Love this game, it's awesome! I really like the fact that I can play it on my big screen TV when I'm home alone OR just play the game with the portable console when hubby watches TV. I can use it with sound or no sound. When my family comes to visit they love to play my newWIIU, as they do not own one BUT REALLY WANT ONE!

A great alternative
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendPurchased this bundle this past September 2014 when Best Buy knocked off $25.00 in their Weekly Sales Ad. Basically I'm a XBOX One & XBOX 360 gamer and there was a summer dry spell and I wanted something different. I was always interested in a Wii U when I heard about SSB Wii U coming out in November. The sale price was my deciding factor. I really enjoyed Super Mario World 3D. Haven't played, nor interested in the Nintndo Land game. I will commend Nintendo for providing "physical" disc & retail case for each game unlike their competitors. I personally cannot game on the Wii U Tablet controller, which prompted me to purchase the Wii U Pro (aka 360 inspired) controller. It felt more natural. Would have preferred this as a pack in over the Tablet. I downloaded a couple old school NES titles (Punch Out & Ninja Gaiden). I think the NES & SNES titles are reasonably prices and converted into HD amazingly. Though I haven't spend as much time paying as I orignally hoped to I have no regrets. Great system. Just unfortunate there is little to no 3rd party support. Time to go buy Super Smash Bros Wii U!!!

The Best of This Generation's Offerings
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendPurchased the Wii U as a family gift thinking it would be fun for us to relive some of the novel gaming experiences Nintendo always promises (if occasionally falls short of making good on). Since setting it up we barely play anything else. It's easy to forget, in today's overstimulated AAA core gamer industry, how meticulous Nintendo crafts it's hardware and games to deliver a holistic *gaming* experience. Sure, they're not perfect and the case here as of a sort-of "sequel" to the original Wii was terribly marketed at launch, but I do believe Nintendo has emerged from this generation being the least guilty of resting on it's laurels. *Highlights* include Off-TV play (also integrated in some two-player offerings as an alternative to split-screen), clever MiiVerse integration in many of its games, and free online. Amiibo support is also quite clever in most of its supported games. Additionally (and regardless of one's opinion on the matter), it also is still the only way to enjoy any of the iconic first-party titles that have endured decades of gaming history. *Negatives* that leap to mind are short battery life on the Gamepad controller, and the myriad ways to gouge your wallet on peripherals. If you can divorce yourself from bandwagoning and the idea that Nintendo is only interested in gimmicky family "shovelware," there are some tremendous original and core gaming opportunities that should not go tragically unnoticed. Buy it.

Excellent system just shy of being great.
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendOverall I think the Wii U is a great purchase. Excellent first party games (Mario, donkey kong, Mario kart, smash bros). great library of classic virtual console games. Some descent third party games (call of duty, assassins creed, watch dogs). Somehow I ended up getting all three current gen systems (Wii U ps4 and Xbox one). The Wii U is the go to system when my friends and I get together for local multiplayer. Mario, mario kart, Smash bros. Mario party, and hyrule warriors are great when played together in the same room. Where the Wii u fails (besides horsepower wise) is online functionality and 3rd party support. if wanting to play online (besides Mario kart and smash bros) I use Xbox or ps4. Pros: - Backwards compatibility with the Wii - Support wiimote and Wii accessories - Port saved games and purchases from the Wii - Small system footprint and low power consumption (compared to Xbox and playstation) - First party library and virtual console. Cons: - 3rd party game support after 2015 will be lacking - Gamepad integration is not very good. I dislike that the Gamepad turns on automatically when within range of the Wii u. The pad cannot be turned off and can only have the screen shutoff via an annoying system menu. Taking the Gamepad out of range is the only alternative. Range is also and issue especially if you have two or more walls between you and the system. Some of the video apps won't work without the Gamepad which is annoying. Overall being able to play off tv is a nice touch but simply being able to shut off the Gamepad and access menus and setting without it would be nice as 80%of the time I don't need the Gamepad. Also, few games make real use of the Gamepad. Wii U is a great system with excellent games. Some flaws but still worth it for the local multiplayer.

Quality System for First Party Games
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThe Wii U is an excellent choice for a console with several high quality first party games that work well and are fun, colorful, and relaxing. Several games are great for relaxing or are a different type of feel than the regular Call of Duty or Destiny type games. Also, Nintendo games actually work well, which is more than can be said of many modern games, such as Unity or Master Chief Collection. The only issues with this console are the small (32GB) hard drive, Nintendo being backwards with online functionality across the console and all games, and high price point. This console should really be $200. Regardless, this is a great gift or even a purchase due to the high number of good quality games that are highly enjoyable.
