My Husband spends most of his time out in his shop, which is metal. His cell phone reception is fine if he stands just outside the shop, but absolutely no reception inside. With this cell phone booster he gets a good 4-5 bars with no problem.

We are constantly dropping calls in our house and bought this just to be able to talk. It has definately improved the call quality but is limited within a home. It took some time to figure out the best place for the outdoor antenna as my phone does not have a signal search function. I found two apps called Open Signal and Network Signal Info that shows signal strength that helped. The internal antenna is fairly weak. Putting the phone within a few inches of the antenna provides around -85dBm (which shows how bad our signal is), sitting about 10 feet away from the antenna the signal drops to -110dBm. (I am rarely within inches of the antenna but at least I can talk with no dropped calls so far) I feel the system as a whole is overpriced but in our case it was a necessary purchase because of the lack of service inside the house. So, if you have no service or have a lot of dropped calls I would recommend it.

We had an emergency one morning and both my wife's and my phone reception were terrible. my phone hung up on 911 and when I called back on my wife's it was cutting out. A couple days later I talked to the geeks and ordered the wilson. Now we get full strength signal and never drop a call. Highly recommend wilson products and Best Buy to anyone. Also thank you Geeks for your help!
