Sad to say, I was disappointed in this movie. There was a lot of hype building it up to be a great martial arts action flick, with the inclusion of martial arts greats Wu Jing and Scott Adkins. The martial arts action was pretty much reduced to about a two minute scuffle between the two stars, right at the end of the movie, and it left me wanting... well, another martial arts movie. Strictly as an action movie, Wolf Warrior does a decent job. It plays almost as an extended recruitment video for the Chinese Army, with much military chest puffery throughout. Unfortunately for a movie that has "Breathtaking" on the front of its case, it left me with plenty of breath in the end. I give it a solid "meh".

First off, the picture and sound quality is 1st rate. Well Go discs are beginning to become the standard by which other blu-rays are judged IMO. I like Scott Adkins as an actor and top notch stuntman/fighter. i would have preferred a bigger role for him but he is now in demand as not only a leading man but also in supporting roles. Jacky Wu is excellent here also. Not a cutting edge flick but comparable to the Cannon films of the eighties with more action and better effects all around.

Exciting action movies. The mandarin Chinese speaking with English subtitle are good. It's a breath taking movie.
