Excellent Game but has install issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Greatly anticipated this game as I have played all the Wolfenstein from its inception on day one for the PC. OK, here I go as no one else has reported about the very long installation. First off, I initially could not install this game for a few days as I did not have the required 8 GB on my hard drive. I have a Halo edition Xbox 360 with a 12 GB hard drive, half of which was full from the installation of Grand Theft Auto 5. Even after deleting some files there was still not enough room. So after a couple frustrating days more of wait, I had to purchase a 32 GB Flash drive from Radio Shack for $20. So what I saved in Rewards at Best Buy went into Flash memory. Good thing it offset the cost! So be prepared to have the required memory to play this game! I strongly feel that if these software companies want to require so much storage space they should include the flash drive. Either that or be able to run the game from the 4 cd's that come in the packaging much like LA Noire. No one should have to choose between or sacrifice saved games on the hard drive. My second issue with the game was the extremely long installation. From what I read on the NET installations took an average of 40 minutes! Wow! that is the longest time I ever would have had for a game. I don't know if it was because I was installing to a flash drive or not but my installation took an almost exact 2 hours! That is ridicules! I sat with bated breath watching the progress bar install the game as many posters on the net said it hung up and stopped at 48%. I was so glad when it surpassed that and kept going. So be prepared to set it and forget it for some time. Maybe loading to the hard drive if you have the space will be faster. Load times are tolerable of 30-40 seconds. The game itself is amazing and I have yet to scratch the surface. Enemies are smart and Challenging. New weapons are intuitive and amazing. Puzzles so far aren't terribly hard and entertaining. Graphics are superb despite the 360 getting close to the end of its life with the new game systems out. And the story-line is right where it should be in the saga. There is no multiplayer for online play which may turn some people away. It is and always has been a single player style game. I would highly recommend this game to any FPS game player as this is the genre at its finest. I feel it looks even better than Battlefield 4 or COD Ghosts. And they were great games too! This is a must have FPS to have in your game library!

Deep-Rooted!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The deep story roots takes you back to the old game : Return to Castle Wolfenstien, where the world is at world war II and you are the only 1 who can give birth to this world's salvation. Exploring the levels through n through fighting the Nazzi's army, elite units, super soldiers, cyborg weapons, enstein creatures, mommies & zombies in catacombs... a complete 1st person shooter game that includes several gaming styles like if you are playing a collection of Medal of Honour, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil & Unreal Tournament all in 1 awesome big game. Each time you encounter a new enemy/creature you think this is it, it's time to give up...until you sweep your way discovering a new fighting technique, learning when to throtle in and when to stay away n shoot from a distance, when to attack n when to dodge, which weapon to use n which to save, what combat style to use against each type of enemies, how to discover secrets n how to unravell hidden areas. All these details are embodied within those 4 great game CDs of Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Fast paced shooter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wolfenstein: The New Order is a fast, smooth shooter reminiscent of an older era while trying to combine more modern gameplay elements. There is a perk progression system and many areas can be approached from either a full frontal assault or stealthier approach. The environment and cover can be destroyed during battles and a laser weapon allows you to make murder holes in certain types of cover. I found it enjoyable though I feel there was an attempt to bring in too many gameplay elements, which some of them such as stealth feeling a little lacking.

Tough but fun FPS strategy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tough but fun A great series returns to the 360, with some of the best graphics yet. A good story with nice nods to previous characters, FPS fans will find well structured levels that show just how brainless and "set piece" the COD games have become. A nice change from previous games in no central hub to return to, less backtracking, and steampunk rather than occult elements. FOR sure rental, buy for shooter fans.

Good solid SP shooter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A fun, intuitive and easy to pick up and play shooter. Multiplayer addicts may be disappointed, but for an SP guy like myself it was perfect for scratching my FPS itch. Exploration is rewarded but not necessary if you want to just burn through the campaign. Good atmosphere and interesting alt history setting are also a plus. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a good SP FPS

Not bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being an old schooler, I grew up on doom, heretic. And of course the original wolfenstein. Definitely a worthy game to get. Looks great, a few glitches here and there, but who's got the budget of halo. Other than halo. It's fun, but could use different play types. More than the ones you can unlock. Weapons are nuts. And then figuring out how to beat certain levels can get irritating.

Good Single Player Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a fan of the original Wolfenstein games and this one does not disappoint. Good storyline and graphics/sound are great. Be prepared to wait a good 30 minutes when you first start the game to load additional content onto the hard drive. Also be aware there is no multiplayer for this game.

It's like a Q. Tarantino film meets alt. history
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The story is incredible, the character and plot development coincide well with the themes of resistance, revolution, and desperation. The graphics are gorgeous, the game's engine runs smoother than a brand new car, and the soundtrack accentuates the present mood within the game. It's a must buy for fans of the genre, and/or those who happen to be a fan of timeless video games.
