Cam v3 is the 3rd generation of Wyze’s flagship camera, Wyze Cam. Like its predecessor, Wyze Cam v3 lets you see and record 1080p video right from the Wyze mobile app. New to Wyze Cam v3, is its waterproof design allowing for outdoor installation with an IP65 rating. Wyze Cam v3 also takes advantage of an all-new Starlight Sensor which allows for extreme low-light performance and shows great detail in the dark. With Wyze Cam v3's color night viewing, night time video recording appears as if it’s day time.
Q: What is the longest power cable that is available for this?
A: Hi there! Each camera comes with a 110V power adapter and a 6-foot USB power cord. Wyze Cam v3 requires a USB cable that has a limit of 16 feet (5 meters). If you're using a USB cable length longer than 16 feet, there could be power delivery issues. Thank you for your question and have a great day!
A: Hi there! The cameras are primarily meant to work with an internet connection. The connection is what allows you to stream, get notifications and change settings via the Wyze App. However, you can use a WiFi network connection to set up and configure your Wyze Cam in the Wyze app. Once the camera is configured with a microSD card inserted and Local recording to microSD card turned on, the camera will continue to continuously record to the microSD card, even when it is offline. When your Wyze Cam is offline, you will not be able to connect to the camera via the Wyze app to view the live stream video or change any of the camera settings. The camera also will not save any alert videos to the cloud, so none of the motion or sound detection features will work. To view your recorded footage, you can either bring your Wyze Cam back to an area that is covered by the WiFi network it was set up in and use the Playback feature in the Wyze app, or remove the microSD card from your Wyze Cam to view the raw video files (mp4 format) on a computer. When you return the microSD card to your Wyze Cam, it will resume continuous recording. The camera supports up to a 32GB microSD card, which holds roughly 2-3 days of playback recording. As it maxes out in space, it will overwrite the footage of the oldest day on file. So while the camera can do offline recording, it is not its optimal purpose. Q: Will this cam record through glass at night and not reflect the light back?
A: Thank you for your question. The night vision feature through glass or a window at night is not optimal. The camera emits 850nm infrared lights, which will be reflected by the window at night. The image will not be great in this situation, so it is not recommended. During the day, the infrared lights are not necessary and therefore there are no reflection issues. A: Hello there! The free trial is offered for cam plus when a new device is activated. The free trial will last 14 days and then you will have an option to start a paid subscription. Cam Plus is an upgrade for Wyze Cam devices that adds Person Detection to your Complete Motion Capture videos. With this service, you'll be able to record full-length videos, receive real-time alerts when people are detected, and filter all of your video clips with people in them. If the 14 days trial free Cam Plus will expire you can still use the app and view live stream of the camera, however, it will only capture one 12-second alert video every five minutes when motion or sound is detected. If you have additional questions, concerns, or would like to speak more about this please reach out to our Wizards team (https://wyzelabs.zendesk.com/hc/en-us) so we may help. A: ANY online service will work w login! You can have 2 cameras in NY & 2 in LA. We take our WYZE cameras w us traveling haha Sometimes they don’t hook up bc of Public Network, but most do - if not we leave them out for possible intimidation lol So the answer is YES! You can take them anywhere especially if you have a battery pack - makes camera VERY mobile. You just have to ADD again which takes like 30 seconds.
A: Hello! The Wyze Cam V3 will capture one 12-second alert video every five minutes when motion or sound is detected. Using a microSD card with the ‘record on event’ or 'continuous recording' feature turned on will allow the camera to record the rest of the footage that the cloud video does not capture. We also have Cam Plus, which is an add-on service and upgrades the free 12-second motion recording already included with Wyze Cam. This upgrade will record motion and store the events to the cloud for as long as motion is detected and adds Person Detection. That means no 12-second limit and no cooldown period. The recordings are stored in the cloud for 14 days. If you have additional questions, concerns, or would like to speak more about this please reach out to our Wizards team (https://wyzelabs.zendesk.com/hc/en-us) so we may help. Thank you and have a great day!
