Customers recognize the AMD Radeon R5 220 Core Edition as a budget-friendly graphics card that delivers good performance and is easy to install. Positive feedback frequently highlights its compatibility with older systems and ability to support multiple monitors, improving resolution and providing convenient HDMI connectivity. While some users noted the absence of a fan, the overall experience is largely positive due to its ease of use and effectiveness in enhancing visual capabilities. The card's affordability is also a consistently praised aspect.
Purchased to replace a dead video card on an older Dell desktop (Inspiron 530). This card works well even on desktops with weaker power supplies. Was using an Nvidia card but it wouldn't boot up after a couple years use. Plugged this one in, installed the drivers, and it solved my boot problems. It won't be great for intense gaming, but if you use your computer for web-browser gaming, emails, etc., this works fantastic.

I bought this card to upgrade and replace a older Radeon 4550 1 GB card. After installation it took almost 8 minutes to install the software and the drivers, but patience endures, and it was worth the wait. It made a decent improvement in an old Dell Optiplex 740 tower that I picked up at a local flea market for $40. However I did upgrade the CPU from a 2.4 GHZ, and the ram up from 3 GB to 8 GB First. The new card brought my Windows Experience Index up from 4.8 to 5.7. Not bad. Good performance without any lag. The Dell runs more quiet now, as well. I'm not a big gamer so it suits my needs. The Dell Optiplex specs are: AMD AthlonX2 5600+ Socket AM2 running @ 2.9 GHZ, Foxconn OTT798 motherboard, 8 GB of total Ram, 2 Seagate 500GB IDE hard drives, 1 of them loaded with Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit. The second for large file storage. Only problem I have ran into is that I can't upgrade my hard drives to SSD. The Motherboard does not support AHCI for SSD's in the BIOS. It's ok..... no complaints here.
