I bought this for my son and i highly recommend to all other parents. To be able to use it, you need to download the Xplora app and link the device. The monthly cost isn't bad, and they have options for monthly or yearly contracts which gets you better deals. You wouldn’t pay more than $15 a month for the service. I am able to call and text my son, and track his location. Location updates constantly and is pretty accurate. It also has school mode so no calls or texts dyring school hour which i am able to set. And i love i approve the contacts that call or text him. Absolutely love it.
