3d printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this 3d printer for my son. They were difficult to find in stores and online during Christmas. I ended up ordering online when they finally came back in stock, so it was a belated Christmas present. My son is 13 and is very tech-savvy. He uses 3d printers and software at school. This device has a learning curve. I thought the directions were a bit tricky. You have to keep everything calibrated and follow the steps. My son uses a different program and imports the file to xyz software (which can be tricky for first-time users). We've had problems with corners lifting/not staying on platform, so we're reading about techniques to fix that. Some things do not print well at all, and improved quality and building with supports takes time. My son really loves this printer, but it takes practice and patience! Not too bad for the price.

It was a big learning curve.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took a bit to get hooked up wireless and does require a learning curve. It takes determination to get what you want but if you want a toy that could lead you to a fun career or hobby have fun with this printer getting you started.

Unsure
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for my husband cause he wanted one and I thought it'd be a good starting one for him to get comfortable with. However, He took it back for one twice as much that still sits in a box... I think it's to complicated for him. But at least I don't hear him going on about it anymore. So money well spent sort of.

I would recommend this to a friend - Cons mentioned:Pla, Press fittings

Never works for more then a few prints at a time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Every time I get this printer working I can only get about 2 or 3 prints in before something goes wrong. The Press fittings never seem to hold the Teflon tube and I waste PLA when this happens. XYZPrinting will not send any extra chips so I can use all of the leftover PLA. BUY ANOTHER PRINTER.
