It could just be the manufacturer issued a bad lock however upon delivery the item’s box looked a bit damaged however the content of the lock seemed non damaged. Upon Installation the internal latch assembly showed signs of defect. This caused difficulties in locking and unlocking the actual door. It was so tight for the latch assembly to respond to work that it would not turn on the strength of the motorized motor. (I didn’t use any power tools and used hand strength without over tightening) After removing it and observing the internal latch assembly I compared it to the old latch, (which is going to the back door of my house and is motorized as well) I noticed that the new latch assembly was far less in quality compared to the old one. Disappointing was that the new latch assembly was smashed causing the malfunctioning of the device. Also, the motor on the lock turns opposite of the assembly assignment, meaning it will not lock the door however will unlock the door when it is supposed to lock the door. I unfortunately will have to return and get a new lock and hope for better results.

This is an excellent door lock. Automatically locks itself when you leave and automatically unlocks as you drive up. Also auto locks once you’re inside your home.

I have had this lock for almost 2 years. I love it. Great when I have my hands full of groceries and I'm not able to forget with keys
