I bought this soundbar to use with my new LG OLED tv. In upgrading my tv I decided to change the sound system as well. Though I had a great top quality sound system (5.1 surround system with great expensive speakers) it was about 15 years old without modern HDMI connections. I decided to simplify and looked at a number of soundbar systems. This Yamaha system seemed the best at replicating a real multi-speaker sound system with it system of multiple sound projectors. Since using it this past month I have been very satisfied with the sound quality and it flexible controls.

The Yamaha 7.1 Sound Bar works very well. It small in size and doesn't take up a lot of space between tv and the media cabinet. Set up is easy. My only complaint is the on and off for the Yamaha can not be controlled through the DirectV remote. It works fine for changing channels and volume adjustments. My tv is a LG OLED and it might work on other bands or models.
