    SAVE YOUR MONEY!

Worst Zagg I've ever experienced, and I've installed them on several different devices. Save your money! Everything bad you read in the reviews is true. First, an absolute nightmare to install. An applicator gel cloth?! Really?! It begins drying out as soon as you remove it from the package. Then it immediately degrades leaving fibers clinging to your screen. Meanwhile, you'll be fumbling with the applicator tab system as it's impossible to align. Oh, did I mention the protector doesn't even cover most of the screen? I realize end to end coverage might hamper certain cases. That's not what I'm describing. No, the protectors edges don't even come close. So what again are you buying this for? If you've managed to get this far in the process, have marked the protector applicator with a sharpie to attempt to find some kind of alignment/symmetry, when you begin to peel off the applicator from the protector after it's adhered to the screen, guess what? The protector peels off with it. Yay! Now you have to eye ball the protector alignment while you frantically press it down to re-adhere. Be careful it's sticky, so sliding it into place is not an option. Oh and watch the corners. Too much handling and they'll never stay down. If your lucky enough not to permanently crease the protector in this resticking process no matter how gentle you are, you'll probably be disappointed when you realize not only are there bubbles now appearing after squeegeeing, but dust, lint, gel cloth particles, etc are now ever present. Still, the big disappoint is yet to arrive. If you paid BB to install for you and avoid this debacle, you'll be delighted to find the edges will begin peeling back on their own. No not from the case, they're not even close! I "installed" two of these recently and gave up. Returning it to BB (again), getting my money back, and moving on. Sticker protectors (sans gels and sprays) are cheaper, easier to install, don't peel, and I've never scratched a screen with one on. Bottom line: Walk away.

As the cheaper of the two options for a screen cover, this one being approx. $20 and the other approx. $50, it has done the job for the most part. I wanted something to protect the screen as I was going on vacation to the beach and did not want sand to scratch the screen of my brand new $800 Galaxy S8. I did not want to shell out the $50 for the better (glass?) screen cover yet before I knew how they worked and how to put them on right. I had an iPhone before this and was used to the two-piece covers that had a back case and a plastic screen cover for the front that fit together. This was my first experience with the stick on cover and was leery about sticking anything on and messing up the screen. I have to say before I put the cover on, the screen itself did a very good job of repelling dirt and dust from sticking especially cat hair which is a big problem for me. I did not test out the water repellent abilities and do not plan to unless I accidentally drop it in water. It was a bit hard to get the screen cover centered on the phone due to the curved infinity edge. I imagine with flat screens it would be easier but I love the infinity edge on the S8. I did my best with the help of my gf to put it on after cleaning the phone with the included tools removing dust and debris though I later found out I should have used the sticker-thing to remove the fuzz I could not see. After placing it on when I went into my messaging app with the white background I was able to see some very small hairs and dust I missed which was a bit disheartening. I tried to peel back the corner and remove the hair but it was thoroughly stuck on the screen protector and I did not want to damage it trying to get the almost undetectable hair. All in all, it has worked out fairly well so far though the edge on one side is not completely sealed as dirt and fuzz get stuck there and I am not sure if this is due to the cover not being 100% centered or me messing with it peeling it back up after initial application. I will kepp it on for a little while longer but do plan on upgrading to the better glass screen stick on cover and plan on asking maybe the Best Buy Geek squad to help me put it on to reduce the chance of error or mess ups since this one is $50 and not able to just go and buy a new one right away.

    Poor quality control and contamination

This shield works OK, it's easy to trap bubble under the film, mine came with a large piece of debris stuck on the application side of the film pushed right against the screen from within the film itself, there're also numerous dust particle stuck between the yellow backing and the shield itself I had to clean off, but the debris stuck below the application surface on the film itself is inexecusable, this basically made the film useless despite of my careful attempt in installation and cleaning the screen itself. This means the quality control and contamination control is very poor at ZAGG, the debris is clearly visible under the film, this should have never made past quality control. Too bad I didn't noticed until I applied the film on the screen, now i have this large piece of debris buried under the protect film right in the middle of the screen. Also the lifetime warranty requires shipping charge of at least $5.99, so while ZAGG may appear to stand behind the product, they're basically selling you another shield. So I went to Amazon and bought a complete different product instead. Aside from the film being riddled with particles of dirt, the film is also sticky to touch and gives the device a artificial shininess not pleasing to the eye, and the film shows weird unevenness on the surface. Combined with poor quality control, this is not a product that is to be recommended, stay away.

Difficult to apply but can be done with some luck

Overall the installation process is what turned me off from this product. I used ZAGG's products on my other galaxy devices with little to no trouble, but generally those were HD-dry models, and only one other wet applicator (on a galaxy s7). The protector is not great at adhering to the curves of the galaxy s8 device, and still left minor bubbles after the fact. I registered the product and requested a second unit as per ZAGG's warranty policy (which was incredibly easy to use, so points for that ZAGG), and after having gone through some unsuccessful trial-and-error with the first screen, I was able to finally apply the protector on my second try with no issues along the edges, but it still was not perfect even after waiting 48 hours. I noticed the bottom half of the screen looked less clear with a rainbow like effect, while the top half looked pristine. That was the final straw for me, especially after going through two products for a semi-acceptable application, which is wholly unacceptable for ZAGG products. The material they provide is adequate such as the squeegee and spray, but they really should have included a second screen on the chance the initial application was not successful. Bottom-line ZAGG, include two sheets and there is a chance one of them might look okay, but consider making an HD-dry model and discontinuing this one. I shouldn't need to spend four days applying a screen protector just to walkaway disappointed.

I have always purchased less expensive screen protectors for my cell phones and always installed them myself and never had an issue. Since recently purchasing a Galaxy S8 for my wife and an S8+ for myself, I was concerned with installing the screen protectors myself because of the curved screen on the phones. My wife isn't as careful with her phone as I am with mine, so I decided to get Zagg screen protectors for both phones and have Geek Squad install them. I don't know if it's because of the curved screen but I'm disappointed with my purchase. The screen protector on both phones is not centered on the phone. I admit I'm probably pickier about this than most people. I'm not sure if I can explain this right, but the installer clearly started at the bottom right corner of the screen which leaves unequal, uncovered areas on the phones on the top and left side. The screen protector is also lifting off the phone (more on my wife's than mine) and we have to keep pressing it back on. This never happened with the protectors I installed on previous Samsung phones. I'm not sure if the problem is the screen protector or the installation but, for what I paid, I'm not happy with my purchase.

I was going to write a complaint and send it in but my new boss's wife has congenital heart failure and will die soon and my horrible experience with the Geek Squad didn't seem as important. But as you "Best Buy" sent me a request for a review I will give you the readers digest version. Let's just say on two new Samsung S8 the Geek Squad went through 6 of the Zagg films an still failed to put them on correctly. My wife left the store without a film on and mine had dust underneath. The first attempt in the morning took approximately 45 minutes and we left unsatisfied with the results. We returned later and attempted to have them try again with a different technician. He went through three as did the first gentleman and this time my wife as I stated earlier left without a Zagg shield and mine had dust under the film. It took about an hour to get out of the store the second time. We went to a Zagg store it took less than ten minutes for both phones. They are perfect. We had purchased three additional Zagg shields for my kids S8 to be put on later. We decided to return them. When we went into the store we found one of the returns was done incorrectly as I had an S8+. They had returned previously two S8 Zagg covers. It took them another 40 minutes to figure out how they were going to return the other shields as their inventory would now be wrong.

I read a lot of reviews of various screen protection products for the Samsung S8 before buying a screen. The curved screen creates very special, and difficult to overcome, issues for any screen protector because of the curve in the screen. I bought this one because I had seen some people who are getting good service from this protector. I bought it and thought that the safest way to install it was to have a Best Buy sales person install it as they should have the most experience with installation. The first person who did the install on the screen protector installed completely crooked on the screen so that the left side went all the way down the curve of the screen and on the right side the edge of the protector was on the top of the screen, not even down the right side at all. The screen the started peeling from the edges within a couple of days so I took the phone back to Best buy and they had another person install a new screen. It looked to be very evenly done and I waited two days before putting the slim line case back on the phone as instructed. Its now been another four days since the second install and the screen has started to peel from the bottom of the phone. I will return this for a refund as screen protectors and this Samsung S8 phone don't seem to get along well together at all.

This is not glass material. Is more like a flexible self curing plastic comparable to the Skinomi techskin. The installation items it comes with are very useful except for the moist wrap which holds too little liquid. Using this would be difficult to attach and center the screen protection. I manage to attach and get the job done by using a cup of water and soak this paper wrap to make it much more moist and make the phone screen completely wet. Afterwards just place the screen protection on the phone. Because you have sufficient water on the screen, the protection skin can now be moved using your fingers. You can now take your time and center the protection skin on the screen. Use the plastic squeegee in an up/down and left/right motion to draw the water out. Use your fingers to curve the protection skin at the curves of the phone. You need to do this a couple of times till you see that it stays attached. I let mine dry off for a couple of hours and perfect. The protection skin stays nicely attached on the phone screen... Also at the curves. I used this on my new S8. Did not notice any decrease of screen sensitivity. For the price... I would highly recommend this screen protection. Providing you adapt the installation method as described.
