Terrible game Posted by: from: on Clunky mechanics, mediocre fighting mechanics, terrible story. I was lucky to get it after the patch, but Ubisoft released a 40 GB patch because people's faces were DISAPPEARING! That's the largest patch in gaming history. Do not buy this game unless you're like me and want the whole collection.

Not the Best in the Franchise Posted by: from: on Maybe I'm just spoiled with Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, but this iteration seems to be much less polished. The gameplay issues are a lot of the same run and climb walls when all you wanted to do was run, try to hop over something short and end up stuck on the top of it instead, getting stuck after falling in between objects, etc., BUT all problems become much more exaggerated. Falling through levels is a daily occurrence (how hard is it to make a floor A FLOOR?!), instead of assassinating someone you pull out your sword thereby alerting them to your presence, as well as the usual jumping off of a building instead of jumping to the next ledge. I understand Ubisoft is in the market to make money, but I'd gladly have waited until Christmas if a lot of these bugs would have been polished out. I've also locked up my game twice over the past 3 days.

Meh.. Posted by: from: on It has become better over time but upon its release it was unplayable. All sort of video glitches and game crashes were there..

A Mess Posted by: from: Los Angeles, CA on I loved all the assassins creed games besides part 3. This game was a giant failure i don't even know where to begin with my complaints. The graphics alone is poor and black flag on the 360 looked better. This is also the Glitchiest and Buggiest game i have ever played before in my life. It would randomly freeze and restart the game on its own free will not saving anything i was in the middle of. Multiplayer on here was beyond repetitive theres a total of maybe 8-10 different jobs so you'l beat them all in less then a day. All the good weapons and gear was locked for a mode that is not available yet and no word on when it actually will be released other then rumors. The lag and issues connecting to servers online was terrible its a 50/50 chance the game will load or it will freeze during multiplayer loading screens until everyone leaves the game then it loads once your by your self. Then there is the infamous ghost kill when you'll be taking damage from invisible people who just are not on the screen until you die. Then to top it off the extremely over the top loading times for the game to actually load. I have wait 15-20 minutes just for the story mode to actually load up.

Was this game play tested? Posted by: from: Dallas, TX on I am an Assassin's Creed fan. I have played every console release, including DLC and standalone arcade titles. I bring that up only so you'll understand the gravity when I say that this game is GARBAGE. I'll try to keep it short: -The missions are numerous, similar and tedious. -Co-op and microtransactions are thrust upon you, with no clear benefit for the latter and a genuinely unfun experience for the former. -Traversing the map is terrible. The game way overcompensates for movement, making the free running parts frustrating beyond belief. Even simple moves from the old games are all but impossible, as you're more likely to just give away your position as you bounce around uncontrollably. -Combat is the worst. Very tedious. Not fun. No defense against firearms, which every enemy in this game carries and uses liberally. Thanks to this game, I will NEVER preorder an Assassin's Creed game again. This game has obvious problems, there is no way the developer didn't know about them. Play Assassin's Creed Rogue or Black Flag for your AC fix. This game is for the hardcore, desperate or masochists only. I hope Ubisoft get's it back together soon.

Amazing graphics, somewhat glitchy Posted by: from: on This game is fun, although it takes some getting used to after playing Black Flag. Some actions are more difficult, and some things like the amount of stuff you can hold at a time (ammo/blades/etc) are more limited. That's not really a knock, just different. The graphics are a lot better than Black Flag. There are a few glitches where I've been stuck against a wall or between a wall and a column where I've had to exit out of the game and restart.

Historical timeline and fun Posted by: from: on I bought this as a gift for a friend and it was truly loved. He played the game in days and was telling all sorts of interesting historical facts. This game allows children to reenact parts of history and have fun while doing it.

Assassin's Creed? More like Assassin's GREED. Posted by: from: on I was never a huge fan of the series, but the other games have been decent enough and with GCU + $10 Reward Zone certificate for preordering, I figured I'd give it a shot. Big mistake. Most of you know the glitches and everything that plagued this. On top of that, you need a companion app to access a lot of the loot chests in the game. That's pretty pointless and silly. If you don't have a smartphone, tough cookie cause you won't be able to open those chests.
