Batman Arkham Franchise - Nail Hammer SLAMMED Posted by: from: Las Vegas, NV on This game truly shows how far the Batman Arkham franchise has come. The visual effects of this game are stunning, it is set in Christmas in Gotham two years after Zero Year and the snow is a wonderful backdrop, the characters all have their breath visible, everything you would expect to see if you were watching an actual movie with real live actors. From the very first boss battle, I was hooked, it took me back to all the challenging boss battles I remember from the Nintendo/N64/Sony PS1 days where you cursed because it was actually a CHALLENGE to beat the boss. All the normal Arkham things are found here, Batarang, Detective Mode, Batwing, etc. Because it is set so early, Commissioner Gordon is Detective Gordon still (which I liked that little detail they stuck to, they could have screwed that one up). The cast of characters is phenomenal. So why did I give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars. Here is my opinion why it did not earn that last star from me. Roger Craig Smith voices Batman, and he just doesn't do it as well as Kevin Conroy has done Batman for so long. Mark Rolston as Deathstroke just doesn't pull it off, they should have recast Ron Perlman to reprise the role from The Flashpoint Paradox or Fred Tatasciore from Young Justice. I will say one casting that was well done, Nolan North as the Penguin was fantastic. The other reason I gave it 4 stars, they screwed up Copperhead and totally changed that character. This truly was a departure from DC cannon and it bothered me. Do not let those issues though dissuade you from buying what is possibly thus far the best game in the Batman Arkham franchise.

good movie Posted by: from: on The quality of the 4k blu ray is outstanding. I was not too happy with the premise of 1 superhero going against another.

Decent game for the money spent Posted by: from: on I had the original Batman Arkham Asylum and liked that game. So I felt that it was only appropriate to get this game as well, albeit years later after its release. But the game is pretty fun if you aren't expecting a whole lot out of a game and it will definitely help pass the time.

Series Never Disappoints Posted by: from: Marion, IN on I haven't had as much time to play Origins as I did when I played the other two in the series, but when I do get to sit down to play it's nostalgic and refreshing. The game is full of action and the pacing seems to be solid throughout. Opportunities for exploration beyond the primary storyline are as abundant as they were in Arkham City (if not more so) and things work almost exactly like the other two, although the interface seems to be a bit less easy to get used to. I haven't finished the game yet, but I can already tell where things are headed just by the easter eggs--the creators of these games have really done a great job appealing to the hard core fans with those sorts of drops. Arkham Origins is a winner--I already feel as though I've gotten my money's worth, and I'm sure I'll replay it at least once.
