Pathetic Posted by: from: Dallas, TX on When I picked the game up I was expecting to be blown away by the next-gen performance, but unfortunately this game does nothing to take advantage of the new consoles, the only improvements I can tell from the ps3 version is that the colors don't look quite as gray. With the improved colors however comes a whole wave of issues, first off the game doesn't even play in a consistent 60 fps, I get noticeable frame rate drops in just about every game I play. Another issue I have is that the multi-player doesn't run on dedicated servers, at least not always which is what the fans were made to believe, maybe its my fault for not reading the fine print. Finally my biggest issue is that the game is just really not that fun, the story mode has its moments, but other than that I had to keep myself vigilant to finish the game, then when you go online you can't really call what you're doing fun either, the map designs are so boring this time around and the game mechanics make it impossible to consider anything that happens the result of skill or dedication to the game, it's all so random to the point that I can't acknowledge this as a competitive FPS title. For once I wish I could just get my money back for this miserable title.

Pretty disappointing Posted by: from: Staten Island, NY on Whenever I get a new COD game I always start out with the campaign mode but the story in this game falls really short compared to past games. Its almost totally uninteresting going through the story. On top of the sub par campaign, the multi player doesnt really deliver either. The weapon selection is just bad and now the guard dog kill streak has taken the place of the ridiculous range of the knife attack. If bullets dont kill you with one hit, why should a knife or dog? Finally, the maps are way too big for the amount of players now that there is no longer the ground war game mode and not to mention they are incredibly busy and much harder to navigate around than previous games. Other than the graphics being great, there isnt much more to keep it in contention with the new Battlefield. I think the COD franchise has run its course and I'll be purchasing Battlefield for the first time after being completely disappointed in the latest COD

It's a Call of Duty game Posted by: from: on After so many iterations, what we've come to expect from the Call of Duty series is a good single player campaign, lots of online multiplayer, and perhaps some bonus content in the form of zombies mode. Call of Duty Ghosts is, therefore, exactly what one would expect being a Call of Duty game. The campaign's story was somewhat muddled and confusing, but served as an excuse to deliver lots of cool set pieces, like a mission where you're rappelling down a skyscraper during a fireworks display, or one where you're dodging depth charges while scubadiving underwater. Overall the campaign was fun and played well. I can't speak to the online multiplayer since that requires PS+, but as for the zombies mode, COD Ghosts has its own spin on things in the form of Extinction mode, where you are trying to destroy alien hives in a series of locations. You can play this mode 2 player local splitscreen, or up to 4 players online.

The game looks great but gameplay... Posted by: from: Westbury,NY on The game visually looks great without a doubt and the new maps aren't to bad. Also there are elements of multiplayer like being able to slide and the more dynamic environment is pretty fun. The option to customize the character isn't to bad if you can figure out how to work it. After that its pretty much downhill. First off there are so many fun game modes that were taken out like CTF, demolition, and all the party games like gun game are out. The new prestige system is kinda ridiculolus to, who really wants to Prestige 100 times? Also a lot of items are gone or changed like the portable radar, semtex, and bouncing betty. Lets not forget that it is much easier for people to camp even though a lot of these things are gone. Strike packages have also shrunk which is annoying especially specialist but thats due to the game having 30 perks. Really are 30 perks necessary? I don't know about anyone else but I think that Infinity Ward should've made something similar to MW3. Also MOABs are called KEM strikes now and any camper can get them by picking up a field order that just requires you to get 1 melee kill or a headshot or 3 non killstreak kills or something else which leads to them getting a care package that more often than not contains a KEM strike. This game is a huge letdown in terms of gameplay. Why Infinity Ward messed up what it was doing right and add more stuff that makes the game worse is a mystery to me. If you are thinking about buying a first person shooter for your new console I recommend Battlefield 4 which is very similar to its older games and has new additions that make it extremely fun and it is just as visually appealing as Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Awesome!!!!!! Posted by: from: on This game was not, what I expected it to be. The graphics and theme was 2x better than what I first thought about the game. The game is something, you will need to get a hang of, and isn't as easy from the start. Such an unbelievable game!
