Nice for home or work
Posted by: Musicman from: on
I recently began using a Synology NAS box to stream music stored on my network. The NAS unit gives me the ability to connect to my home network wherever I have a WIFI signal. I'm now able to use the available Synology apps and my iphone to listen to all my music anywhere. The only thing I needed to complete the process was a set of wireless ear buds so I could plug the iphone into a charger and allow it to stream music direct to the ear buds via blue tooth. The JBL - Everest 100 Wireless Earbud Headphones do this very nicely. Sound is clear. Bass is good and I'm very pleased with the purchase. Easy to use however the charging cable could have been a bit longer.

Save your money

JBL has really become one of the best companies for audio equipment but man do these suck. These sound like headphones you buy at a corner store. I was looking for the bass in the headphones but couldn't find it, I even checked the box. The other pair of JBL's I have are much cheaper and the sound quality is 100% better although they are wired but I rather deal with a wire instead of these. Save your money. I let my mom try them and she said "turn it up some more" the volume was at 100%. I'm taking these back. They were so bad that I have to get my money back like right now. Never do reviews but these forced me to. Just know that these shouldn't cost more than $20.

I was reading several reviews before purchasing these and it made me a bit hesitant. I bought them anayways and honestly I don't see what all the negativity was about. Now, out of the box they don't sounds amazing. But after playing with my iPhone's equalizer in the music settings, they were amazing. I set my EQ to Flat and bam. Works like a charm. A lot louder now. Definitely not for bass lovers though. Even on high bass, I didn't get an incredible amount of bass. Thankfully, I'm not a bass guy. Honestly, you all should learn how to change your EQ settings in your phone before bailing on these. They're honestly great for my workout sessions and do wonders for just casual listening. I could go a good 25 to 30 feet without them disconnecting. That's pretty much average for BT headsets so I wasn't disappointed. Battery life is amazing. Lasted me about 7 hours overall. Takes about an hour to fully charge. Would recommend this to anyone for any reason.

Expected More From JBL...
Posted by: JGUSMC7 from: on
I found the audio quality low and lacking. Expected more from JBL, since I am more than satisfied with my SB400 sound bar and my Charge bluetooth speaker. There is almost no low end (ie. bass) and I found the volume to not be loud enough to make normal use worth it. I understand the importance of safety and outside noise needing to bleed in, but I found it overwhelming with this pair. The bud itself fit ok (didn't get a good seal) and the tip hurt my ear. I just purchased the Jaybird X2 which is more expensive, but so far I am much happier them and they are worth the price difference. They are louder, provide more comfort, and give a nice amount of low end sounds.

Best Wireless Earbuds
Posted by: Black75 from: on
I don't know why everyone is whining and giving this product low/bad reviews. These are some great wireless earbuds for its price. They do have a slight delay when Im changing songs or answering phone calls. The noise cancelling is awesome on those earbuds. My gym plays the music very loud through the speakers. I can't hear a thing with these earbuds on. This allows me to focus more on my workouts. Keep up the good work JBL.

Lag apparent when watching video
Posted by: Crushing from: on
As far as I can tell, nobody has mentioned this issue so far in the reviews so I'm writing this in the hope that it helps someone save the time of buying/returning this product.
The idea of a wireless headphones was very appealing to me; unfortunately it wasn't all it was cracked up to be.
Long story short, if you'll be using these headphones exclusively for music and conversation then they are a solid choice. However, any attempt to watch video on say your phone or tablet (regardless of platform) will be met with a audio/video sync delay of at least 0.5secs.
I've done some internet digging and apparently the problem is common with bluetooth headphones and unfortunately there is no solution.
There may be some products on the market that significantly reduce latency (those supporting something called aptx) but this is not one of them.
Fair warning...that the JBL or Best Buy won't give you.

Based on the reviews for this product on here I was a little hesitant towards purchasing these because I wanted good sound quality with great bass, but a Best Buy employee talked me into purchasing them and have absolutely no regrets.
First off, I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 which has an equalizer in their music app that brings these headphones to life. I know for a fact that Apple iPhones don't have this because I used to have one, so if you are an Apple user you will not be getting the excellent sound quality that these headphones are capable of giving.
Once the equalizer on my phone was set right where I liked it, booming bass, great mids, and great treble came alive in these headphones. They are miles better than Beats in my opinion which have a muddy sound, and have better overall sound than Bose headphones for the music I listen to which happens to be lots of Rock music.
Now onto the final verdict. If your phone has an equalizer then by all means get these headphones because they are fantastic once brought to life, but if your phone doesn't have an equalizer then I would say check out another set of headphones that have more bass right out of the box.

Better than the other reviews suggest.

I bought these after my Sony SBH80s died on me in less than a year. I wanted a pair of BT earbuds that were "low profile" and not make you look like you have wine corks sticking out of your ears like the Jaybirds and pretty much any other set sold on BB do. These fit the bill nicely.
The look fat, but most of the bulk rests in the inner groove of your ear so they don't stick out much at all. They're light, comfortable, provide a good seal and most importantly, stay in my ears.
Also, while they don't sound as nice as Sony's SBH80 (which were the best sounding BT earbuds I've ever listen too), they sound better than some of the other reviews here suggest. You have to remember that these are bluetooth. The sound they send is compressed and will always sound worse than a comparably priced pair of wired headphones.
The battery life is also excellent and truly last the 8 hours advertised, which is better than my old pair.
My only gripes are that they don't feel as premium as they should for the price and don't have the Aptx codec (which they really should come with for the price).
If I were to be completely honest, I don't think they're worth $100. But I bought them on sales for $80 and also had a $20 gift card to apply. For that price I think they're well worth it if you are looking for a decent pair of very small, unobtrusive looking BT earbuds with excellent battery and pretty decent sound quality.

Best bang/boom for the buck!

JBL (a Harmon/Kardon company) has always been synonymous with quality audio, and these Everest 100 Bluetooth Wireless earphones are no exception to this! For around 100.00, you get the sound quality that I feel could rival Beats or even some of the Mid-Line Bose earphones. They have great tones, highs and lows, they're super-easy to use and connect to your device (especially iPhone) and they are comfortable and also lightweight; come to think of it, they look good too (not that this was a deciding factor for me) but for me, they're the total package and for a GREAT price! If ya love what ya've read here, buy a pair for yourself and you'll see what I'm talking about!!
