Q: Is it possible to add a SSD to this model?

A: This model has an m.2 expansion slot at the top end of the internal HDD, and that slot can be used as an SSD expansion. I would (and will) add the SSD for boot and save the HDD for data storage.

Q: What is the battery life one battery saving settings on low brightness with basic web browsing?

A: Joe, Been using the machine for about 6 weeks. Under the conditions you cited, I've been getting about 5 and 1/2 hours.

Q: How well is this laptop for a college student?

A: I'd say it's really good, jumping from class to class. Gaming in between. That's what I do, but also doing a few essays on the go makes it easy. Just carry a separate mouse if you're gaming in between. My personal preference.

Q: Does this computer have a dvd drive?

A: Yes it does but it's an external USB drive.

Q: Does this for sure come with an external DVD/CD burner?

A: Yes, there is an external CD/DVD reader-writer included in the box.

Q: How fast is the hard drive?

A: Slow. Not snail slow but very slow considering its a gaming laptop.

Q: Is this laptop good for Video editing/Photo editing?

A: I'm using it for Lightroom CS and it's amazing.

Q: Which wifi card does it come with

A: Mine shows the Intel 8260 WiFi Adapter within my device manager.
