Ignore The Bad Reviews. Fantastic Product
Posted by: Evertod123 from: Boise, ID on
So I want to start by saying this is simply an awesome headset hands down the best I have used thus far. I have used the G930s for the last 2 years and have really enjoyed them, after a pleasurable experience with them I could wait to see what Logitech produced next.
I read all of these reviews previous to buying the headset and noticed right off the bat that the people that were writing the reviews must not be able to read instructions. The part I am talking about is that you need to download the logitech gaming software to get these puppies fully operational (all clearly displayed in instructions), however unfortunately these horrible people are giving this new product a bad name because they refuse to be an intelligent being. Alright that is it for my rant...
Gaming: WOAH, some of these gun shots sound like they are right there behind me in my room, if you are looking for true immersion throw these guys over your ears and let them suck you in. I tested a few different games with the headset. First was Battlefield 4, countless times I hear the enemy trying to sneak up on me but I heard his footsteps first so I could get him first, truly a game changer. The G933s make you feel like you are on the battlefield, explosions go off with absolutely no distortion and I like to play them LOUD. Next game I played was ARK (a primitive survival game). I was pleased with the performance but did not notice to many differences from my previous G930 headset. Since this game doesnt really involve and crazy explosions or fast paced action the G933s seemed a bit overkill.
Music: So as I said before I like things to be REALLY loud and that goes for my music too. first thing I tested was the most bass intensive song I could find, bass boost it more, max volumes and play it. My ears were literally shaking within the muffs. The sound was so crystal clear and absolutely no distortion from heavy bass hits.
Compared the previous G930s to the G933s:
So in my opinion (20 year old hardcore gamer with a $5k rig) the G933s are worth the expensive price tag. But are going to be truly unnecessary for most people in every department except for bass distortion and connection it seems the new G933s are only slightly better. I would advise checking out the G930s first for most people. The connection is good most of the time with a drop here and there (maybe 1-2 in a 6 hour gaming session, remember 2 years old), as well as the bass not being able to work to the max because distortion will start scratching up the sound.
What this means to you:
Get this headset if:
- You have money to throw around
- Bass is important to you
- You are a major gamer
Get the G930 if:
- Need something cheaper that will be 80% as good as this product
- dont mind the occasional 3 second connection drop
- You dont need much bass
Both headsets are absolutely amazing. I hope I helped you make up your mind today and enjoy your new sound! Leave me a comment if you have any questions, I should answer within 24hrs.

The new top headset for 2015 / 2016
Posted by: nrouns from: Binghamton, NY on
Logitech delivered on everything we asked for in this headset. I previously was an owner of last years G930, which had connection issues sometimes but was still the best wireless PC headset within it's price range.
But they really outdid themselves here.
-Dual 7.1 Surround sound, sounds even better. Up to 39 Ohms passive, up from 32.
-Cloth noise canceling cushion instead of the less comfortable leather/plastic.
-Cross platform compatibility for Xbox one and PS4 (may need adapter, I need one for my xbox controller) and mobile devices. includes 3.5MM cable and RCA cable to connect to a tv.
-Sleek and way more comfortable design, and the buttons feel better laid out so you don't accidentally press them. Does color changing, which is cool but not something I was concerned about.
-Hidden panel that has a REMOVABLE BATTERY. so you can just replace the battery.

Finally! They have returned to PS4
Posted by: Jodocast2 from: on
I had logitecs for my PS3. Loved them. Sound was good, and I mean just good. What I loved was the distance. I could get up and walk anywhere even take the dog out quick and my friends could tell me the next game of COD was about to start. Poor Max had to go and get in quick. Sadly after a few years the battery would not hold a charge and I could only use them with the wire. The model was discontinued. Turtle Beach then for the rest of my PS3 years and year one of PS4. Great sound but no distance, no taking the dog out, no getting a beverage from the fridge. If I chanced it I had a 50/50 chance of getting back in time. Then I saw these. I had to try them. Yes! I have distance again and a little better sound than the old ones. Actually the distance is about 8 feet better. Thanks Logitech. A dad who has other responsibilities along with the ones to his clan members appreciates the ability to multitask at distance and not let anyone down.
Positives: Distance, comfort, decent sound, easiest set up, turtle Beach should take it as an example for set up!
Negatives: Price, USB to connect

Great Headphones for Enthusiasts

Pros: Great sound, solid feel for plastic, nice headphone material that breathes and doesn't get sweaty like other materials.
Cons: Lighting seems a big unnecessary.

Nice headphones wit flaws
Posted by: Talisac from: Greenwood on
Purchased these as my PC only headphones. Hooked them up, got everything working on my new Windows 10 PC. Everything seemed great, sound was good, headphones were comfortable, wireless or wired, cool lights I never use, flip down mic that picks up my voice great.
Then the headset went into sleep mode. That is when everything started to crumble. The headset would go into sleep mode weather plugged in or not to save power. Seems like a good idea, except then the mic software disconnects and I had to completely shut down the PC in order to get it to work again. Talk about an unnecessary pain.
Called Logitech support and a guy got online to help fix the issue. Seemed very nice and worked with me to get this functioning properly as he said this seemed like an isolated issue. Long story short, we sort of fixed the problem. At least I do not have to reboot or shut down the PC to get them to work, but now when the PC is turned on, or the headphones go into sleep mode the mic still mutes. I can now just go into my Logitech Gaming Software and unmute it and it works. A bit of a pain, and why I did not give them 5 stars. Software should not mute the mic and it just seems weird.
Overall if I removed the issue with the mic, I have enjoyed these headphones. I have used Turtle beach Elite800, XP500 and Tritton AX 720 PRO headsets. As far as comparing these, comfort the logitech are great, better than the Turtle Beaches and are on par with the Tritton's. Sound I would say they are pretty good, not as good at the others, but they are $100 cheaper than all of them and if you have not used a high end $300 headset, these will sound awesome. If you have used a $300 headset, you will give up some sound quality but not $100 less in sound quality in my opinion, so you are getting a pretty good deal.

The headphones sound very good. I've found myself looking behind me while wearing them thinking that the sounds were actually in the room. They sound nice for music too. The bass is better than my previous headset.
Comfortable fabric ear pads
Battery life is solid
I considered returning them after getting some buyers remorse. I had them boxed up and ready to go back. I started using my old headset and just couldn't deal with the loss in sound quality and comfort.

Comfortable, good sound, versatile
Posted by: Bibitory from: Indiana on
Let me start by saying I wear headsets for over 10 hours per day between work and gaming. I'm replacing a Logitech G930 headset, and have really enjoyed using that. After two years of daily use and abuse, the G930 was worth every penny I spent on it. I wanted to give Logitech another shake, and some more of my money.
Enter the G933 Artemis Spectrum. The color selection allows me to match the lighting to my custom rig and my mechanical keyboard (Corsair K95 RGB), though that really didn't way on my decision in any way, it's a nice bonus. I noticed before purchase that the cushions on the G933 over the earpieces are foam, covered in woven cloth. The cushions over the G930 earpieces are foam wrapped in a thin vinyl. The cloth covering is certainly more comfortable, and is less likely to wear down and flake off the way the G930 pads did. Another quick comparison between the two models: the G933 is a bit lighter, and so should be much better for lengthy use.
The sound is exactly what I expect: solid, but not mind-blowing. I'm mostly using these for Skype calls, music, netflix, and a bit of gaming. I can tell you they are perfect for what I do, and I'm sure most folks will feel the same way. There are several connection options: via the usb dongle (wireless), bluetooth, and 3.5mm/RCA. Since I rely on these for work, having a secondary and tertiary connection option is fantastic. Downtime = money lost.
There are a few quick things I'd like to point out, as they threw me off for a moment. The instructions that come with this set are pretty terrible; it's basically a poorly drawn diagram on the bottom of the box and a web address for further support. After searching frantically for the usb dongle that I thought I lost or didn't receive, I decided to check inside the earphones. There is a removable cover over the outset of each earpiece. Under the right earpiece cover, there is an easily removable battery (great move by Logitech for end users who want to use the wireless functionality for several years, as batteries wear down over time). Under the cover on the left earpiece is the usb dongle. I can think of several reasons the headset/dongle are packaged this way, but I can think of no reason why this is not explicitly written in the documentation (the crude illustrations on the bottom of the box apparently depict this, but come on.)
For PC use, swing over to logitech.com/support/g933 to download and install the PC gaming software, so you can customize settings to your heart's desire. After installing the software, I had to reboot, no big deal. I gave the G933 a quick run through some Spotify music and was a bit let down, honestly. The lesson I learned is this: 7.1 is turned on by default. It is great for gaming, but lackluster when listening to music. I turned it off, and immediately the headset sounded great.
All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase, and I'd make it again.

Awesome Sound Quality and Overall Performance
Posted by: Viper1171 from: on
I use these for gaming on my PC & PS4 and connecting my cell phone for taking calls when gaming too. The sound quality is amazing and better than my G930 headset, which had issues on loosing signal to the wireless usb connector from time to time. The 933 has a strong wireless signal, so strong that I went to the mailbox and back while talking and listening without loosing connection. The sound quality is better than my previous G930 and the confort level on wearing these for 10 hours a day continuously is VERY Comfortable! I were glasses and love the over the ear design that lets me concentrate on gaming and not my ears hurting like "on the ear" headsets do to me. When switching to PS4 or to the PC I just unplug and plug in the wireless transmitter, NO dongle required for either making it my 1 and only headset for gaming! I can then enjoy 7.1 sourround sound from both PC and PS4. On a side note, I love that the battery can be easily replaced by removing the magnetic ear cup on the side and on the other ear cup you can store the USB transmitter for storage, very clever of Logitech to do this.

Great headset, one tiny issue
Posted by: JonJon from: on
Its fantastic to finally cut the cord and be able to play games hands free and even make calls on my computer hands free.I also enjoyed connected this to my phone to make hands free calls. The only issue I have is that it cannot connect wirelessly to my android smartphone.(just have to use a cord, any 3.5mm connector wire will work)If it did support that connectivity, then it would have been perfect!!!.
-I enjoy making whatsapp calls on this , and those sound crystal clear on my phone and even better on this headset.
-It also works well with sound cards, I have a soundblaster X soundcard and it has a headphone port that supports high impedance headsets. So it really gives a good amount of power for hefty headsets such as this one and that makes that bass sound better.
-This headset is also better than its leather ear cups predecessor which was awful for people who wear glasses. The leather sliding on my glasses arms would drive me nuts. The foam cups are better , but not perfect. They can still get a bit warm sometimes. The ear cups can be removed and cleaned too.
-Had it 4 months now, carried it back and fourth to my cousins place, nothing broken , very durable!!! and good battery life.

Can a Gaming Headset be Perfect!?
Posted by: Demoarlized from: on
I waited for the G933 to hit the shelves at my local Bestbuy and I snatched one up immediately. I couldn't wait to try them on to see if the would fit my head so I opened them up in the car while I was in the parking lot to see. They we're a little tight at first but I knew with time they would be just right. It's been a couple of months now and this headset is amazing, I came from the G35, which I had for 4 years, hopping it would at least exceed those and they in fact did. Setup was a little confusing only because the provided USB cable, unbeknownst to me at the time that the USB cable is just for power and not signal. The wireless adapter works on the PS4 right out of the box, voice and sound, I don't have a Xbox One to test with, I mainly do PC. Logitech says they developed a new driver for these speakers that allow multiple audio sources without distortion and I haven't heard one crackle yet. The digital surround sound works as well as ever, though, it doesn't sound like the DSS from the older Logitech headsets, it sounds more full. On a full charge I can get about 8-9 hours on the battery, which is constant use, it does however turn off after 5 mins of silence to conserve battery, you just have to adjust the volume on the headset to wake it up. Over all, this headset may be a bit on the pricey side but I consider this to be a solid purchase choice, given it's price bracket and how it exceeds other models that are priced far above it.
