The “EDGE” over all Bluetooth!!

After 2 months of daily use, I am the Proud owner of the Plantronics Voyager Edge. I’ve been waiting to make a serious upgrade from my Bose Series 2 Headset which was ok. I previously owned the Plantronics 975 that is discontinued and was very satisfied. I’m very impressed with the features and technologies packed into the Voyager Edge. I especially like the effortless pairing via NFC up to 5 devices including my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear 2. The Caller ID and Voice Controls are a plus. The Plantronics Apps and Find My Headset are features that are very useful once the Voyager Edge is activated. I knew from the presentation and packaging of the Plantronics Voyager Edge it was a winner. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Worth the price!

This headset is by far the best one I've owned. I use a headset everyday for work so I researched this for many hours before buying. The headset is easy to setup and pair. It pairs with multiply devices at once, so If I'm listening to music on my iPod and a call comes in on my phone, it pauses the song and answers the call. When I end the call the song starts back up. That's cool.
The noise cancelling is outstanding. The last headset I owned, people would tell me that they could hear to much background noise. With this one I have to tell people I'm on a headset. I even stood next to a idling diesel truck and used it while on a call to my wife. She said she could hear a slight noise but could not tell what it was. To me, that's impressive. That must be because of the three microphones built into the unit. Two of the mics are for noise cancelling and the third for your voice. This is a huge plus over any headset I've ever owned.
The caller id feature works great as well. Also, If you have the headset out of your ear and the phone rings you can just put it into your ear and it automatically answers the call for you. Again a big feature over any other headset out there. The volume is outstanding and I have had to turn it way down so it's not to loud.
The portable charging case is a plus, but not needed. It does come in handy if you need a quick charge. If you want to put the headset in your pocket when not in use, the portable charger is what I would recommend. It fits nicely in your pocket and secures and protects it while charging. The battery on this thing is amazing. You would have to talk a whole lot during the day to run this unit down.
The price of this headset is a bit more than others, but if you want a quality Bluetooth headset this is the best thing on the market right now. I would recommend this to anyone that needs a Bluetooth headset that has all the features you will ever need and more.

Excellent device but..

I am a frequent Bluetooth user. I have used one for almost 10 years now. I think they are the best devices created for the mobile phone. It just makes driving easier and less distracting among it's many other uses. With that said, I do actually love this Bluetooth device. There are some cons to it but overall, I am very happy with it.
-It's small, compact and comes with it's own mobile charger.
-It has very clear sound quality, and background noise filtering.
-It picks up everything with clarity... I've been asked about some of the background noises because of the clarity but it isn't overbearing. (quite simply, It don't make my Keurig sound like a helicopter landing...)
-You must use the ear hook. At least in my case... maybe I have odd ears, IDK but I cant just pop it in like headphones.
-Im a man... I don't carry a purse. So although the tooth in mobile charger fits in my pocket...It has no place to store the ear hook while it's attached to the tooth. So I am wondering how long it will take for me to have to replace the hook from the constant attaching/detaching.
-After wearing it for an hour or more, I get a tender/soreness develops in that outer ear area.
That's all I can really say about it... It works great. I do like it... I have had more comfortable devices in the past but honestly... It gives me a reason to end a call if I have to.
There You have it... I hope this helps you decide if this is the perfect fit for you!!!

Best of all worlds!

I've been a bluetooth headset user from the beginning. I drive a luxury car with built in bluetooth, but still prefer a headset because of better voice quality. I've been a Voyager Pro wearer for years now, but like the sleek look of this headset. I hadn't been ready to give up the Voyager Pro quality for for a sleeker look ... until now! This Voyager Edge is every bit as good from a quality perspective, is very comfortable and looks sleek. I've been using this for close to a week (heavy user) and just love it. Another winner from Plantronics!

I have had MANY Bluetooth headsets in the last few years and this one is loud and best sounding of them all. It pairs easy and the apps for download work albeit useless.
The only gripe I have is the Answer/ignore feature. Ever BT that I've had has worked almost flawless when in a noisy environment but not this one. When I'm in my work truck, I have to press the button to answer all calls as it "ignores" my request to answer. It won't even ignore the call either. But if I'm in a quiet place, it will answer every time so I know it's not defective. I hope this can get fixed in a firmware upgrade.

The charger that comes with the bluetooth is amazing. I use the earpiece numerous times a day. As soon as I am done, I put it back in the charger that it comes with. Amazingly enough, it keeps it charged for almost the whole work week without recharging. Best bluetooth ive had in years.

I would recommend this product to anyone. I love going to work and listening to my music without it bothering anyone else around me. And the voice command features.

I was first looking to replace my Bose 2.0 witch my dog mistook for a chew toy. I decided to purchase the Edge when the Bose was out of stock at best buy. I have not been disappointed. The charger is a great bonus. Works well wit my Samsung Galaxy S3

the best I know, but costly
Posted by: reverendo from: on
I have been using bluetooth headsets for about 8 years. My first one was a stereo headset from Plantronics (Pulsar 590A) that was very costly and very fragile. I've also used the 855, 925, 975, Marque 2 (165), 505 and others I can't remember. All these from Plantronics (some I used several times, since I lost and/or broke them or they died on me). I've also given Jawbone and Motorola a shot, but they were so inferior that I gave them away. From all of these the Edge is the best I've had so far. One trait they all Plantronics have in common is that their build quality is not the best, which means they will die before the warranty is over. Their warranty service is very good and now I also have Best Buy's coverage so I can feel comfortable in buying it even knowing that Plantronic's build quality isn't the best. Price is still way too high, but still the best option.
