Great headphone for everyday use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new Beats Studio is an overall good headphone for the average consumer. If you are a die hard audiophile this may not be for you. There are better headphone out there and priced much better. The new foam ear pad is extremely comfortable and the construction is solid. You can somewhat be rough with this headphone and not have to worry about it cracking. I like the mute button idea. Press and hold to mute in case you need to speak or hear someone. I like the style queues and different colors available. The pros: I do like the auto on/off feature when you plug/unplug the cable to the headphone. This helps save battery consumption. The battery surprisingly last a while for powered headphones. Also, it is now rechargeable. New version is a much more balanced tones of mids and highs. Yet you still get a nice rich bass tone for bass heads. Long gone is the muddle bass. The cons: Price. Battery powered. I wished they had a Studios version that is not noise cancellation to get away from the battery aspect. The noise cancellation on the Studios is terrible, it doesn't cancel anything out. I don't like the fact that if the battery is dead, you cannot use the headphones. So if you constantly use your headphones, you'll want to make sure that you charge it everyday to insure you do not run out of power. It leaks sound considerably... so if you listen to loud music your neighbor next to you will be able to hear it. Granted it is an improvement from the past model. Despite the cons, I still think these are great headphones. Like with everything now a days, style is part of the reason why a person would buy this headphone and no one can deny that the Beats headphones are stylish.

Greatest of its lineup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know there are people going to disagree with me(by the way, I'm by no means an "audiophile") , but I think these a great pair of headphones--at least better than the rest of the Beats By Dre Lineup. The sound had been so far the best of its features. The balance between highs, mids, and lows are unheard of in Beats' range of products. "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons and "Another One Bites The Dust" by Queen show a prominent showing of lows, while "September" by Earth, Wind & Fire and "I Will Wait" by Mumford & Sons definitely show the presence of mids and highs. Hip hop, rap, pop, dance, and a variety of rock are probably more suited to define the headphones, but by no means so these sound bad for other genres. In a summary, the sound of the new generation Studios are really good and are the best from Dr. Dre. Besides for being extremely stylish(it's a Beats product, so duh) , the comfort of the Studios are unmatched by anyone else. The leather ear cups fit snuggly in your ear and the band gives a cushion that makes you feel great. I can wear it for days on end. The only really downside of this product is that it'll create alot of fingerprints, so make sure you have a cleaning cloth handy. In conclusion, if you have the money, definitely try them out. If you don't, there are other alternatives around. I honestly think that these headphones are the best in its class. Every kind of headphones have their drawback. Everyone has a different set of what balance is to them when it comes to music, and this is coming from musician who listens to lots of music with different sets of headphones. I like to see more bass especially in more generic headphones, I like Bose products, but I don't want a not stylish and not durable(most of my old Bose headphones broke), and Sennheiser products, but they're not my style of headphones that I'm interested in. Everyone has their own opinion, so if you disagree or look down on my opinion, I could really care less.

Perfect fit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. I work in a busy office and bought these to drown out the noise and it does a great job of that. The sound quality is amazing. The fit is soft and comfortable. I also like that the over the ear style doesn't put pressure on my glasses and ears like my old on the ear headphones did - I am able to wear them for a 9 hour shift with no head pain. I got these on sale and they are totally worth the sale price. And the gold/champagne color is super classy and not status flashy - they don't scream "Look at my Beats" like some of the brighter colors. I have gotten compliments on these even before people realize they are the Beats brand.

Great noise cancellation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Rich deep bass and vibrant highs. 8 hour flight with them on and the cushion around the ears were very comfortable throughout the flight. Did not take them off the whole flight

Better than the Orginal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They new sound is soooo much better than the originals, it's good for all types of music now. The the design looks great, and fit closer to your head, but they aren't quite as comfortable. Don't get me wrong they are still far more comfortable than most other headphones including the other Beats headphone, it's mostly because the headband has a little less padding as the originals. The new design not only looks better, but they are also more durable. They have metal around the cans and no screws, compared the the complete plastic design with screws that constantly fell out. One problem I had with the originals is they felt cheap, like when you shake them they made all kinds of banging and cracking sounds and the new ones don't. The new built -in battery is much more convenient than carrying around AAA's. The new on/off system is nice, but sometimes I like to have my cord plugged in when i'm not listening to music, so I don't lose it. There is many other new great features, but to put it simply; they are much improved over the originals and now feel like they are actually worth $300.

Good product but high price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Beats by Dr. Dre over the ear studio headphones were well -packaged. THe directions were easy to follow and they were easy to set up. They feel durable. They look stylish although the cloor I wanted was not available in this model. They sound good,Playing a variety of music, especially the bass. However, I feel there are other headphones just as good, and maybe better, available at a cheaper price.

Great headphones for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall great headphones!! Very stylish, comfortable and long battery life. I had the previous version and upgraded to the new ones and they fit better and are lighter which makes them easier to wear longer. Sound is full with lots of good bass (which I really like) but the noise cancellation could be better and they leak a bit. All in All the BEST headphones out there for the price!!

Awesome headphones for Cross Country Flight
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had these headphones since Christmas and I've loved them. After yesterday flying cross country, I love them even more. They blocked out all the noise and never caused any discomfort. They are stll pricy, but they sound great and have a long battery life. My only complaint is that they aren't replaceable batteries so make sure you have them charged up. My last charge lasted for over 12 hours of continuous use so it's not a problem. I'll update if that happens to change over time.

Excellent Headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the beats studio headphones for 2 reasons. 1) it had great reviews 2) they were on sale for $149.00 as opposed to $299. After I made the purchase and I tried on the head phones I noticed 2 things. 1st is the comfort of the head phones. 2nd the sound was incredible the treble was crisp and the bass was immaculate. Overall these are one of the best head phones I have ever purchased in comparison to the JBL 700 Elite and The Sony Extra Bass for $199.00.

Awesome Sound!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was able to get these for about 240 taxed brand new. The sound from these is real nice and they are very comfortable for long time use. The battery lasts up almost all day for me with some still left over. (Of course I dont use them 24/7) Over all, these are made very well and will last you a long time with proper care. Satisfied with my purchase and if you have the cash, spend it on these :p

great yet overpriced
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've experimented with many headphones/earbuds the past few years while purposely avoiding beats by dre due to their price. Some may think I'm crazy when I say that the best headphones/earbuds I've ever owned were the Zune premium headphones, but if you ever used them, you'd agree that it had the perfect balance of treble and bass. Since then it's been hard to find anything comparable to those, yet the beats studio comes very close. The treble isn't bad, it has good bass, it's very comfortable on the ears, and the noise cancelling feature is impressive. Try these on with no music, plug in the audio wire to the headphones and outside noise is reduced drastically. You have to charge the headset for the noise cancelling work, but battery life lasts a while. I generally don't like spending $300 on a set of cans, yet in my experience there really isn't anything else that can compare to these at a lower price point. 4/5

Well worth what I paid
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got lucky and grabbed these on sale for $160. These headphones are well worth it for that price. These are very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time, and the noise cancelling makes them a solid product (at that price) I would not say these would be worth $300. At that price point your paying more for the name and glamour of the product.

Love These!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these headphones after I got the Solo HDs, because these were a much better buy. The comfort of these headphones is outmatched, and the new studios are much more stylish. I also love the sound quality, and so do all of my friends. While they're typically more than the Solos, I believe it's well worth it.

Great Sound!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use these headphones, with my ipad watching netflix. Also, my iphone listening to music. The sound is crystal clear, no background noise at all. The charge lasts about 6 hours for me, which is long enough. I just let charge over night and ready for a new day. Very comfortable over your ears..

Great Headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was originally skeptical of switching to over-the-ear style. Now, I don't know that I'll ever go back. I find this style to be much more comfortable. I had the previous studios. These are a huge upgrade. Sound quality is great. Very stylish. Battery life indicator is a nice feature.

Fantastic headphones
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been doing research for headphones for quite some time. I liked the Bose QC15 for noise cancellation but wasn't crazy about their overall sound when playing jazz and blues, which is what I primarily listen to. I liked the QC25 even less. I had heard the Beats a few times but never with the music I wanted to, always with the stock music at the store. And I had read that there was a buzzing sound when listening to podcasts and stuff like that. When the price dropped to $199 for these over the holidays I took a gamble. I am extremely impressed. No buzzing sound when listening to podcasts and incredible sound. They fit comfortable on my ears and I've worn them for an hour and a half without any discomfort. For those who complain of discomfort after a while when on an airplane, the cabin pressure may have something to do with it. And I have always loved the blue color since it came out. They remain by my bed and my kids aren't allowed to use them.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Studio beats sound and look great. Comfortable. Stay charged a a significant amount of time. Like the carrying case also. They are little expensive at $300. It helped that they were on sale ($200) around Christmas. Thank Best Buy.
