    GARBAGE Soundbar stopped working the same day!!!

    First and foremost let me say I am a BOSE woman. I have like 3 portable speakers that I've had for many years which actually influenced my decision to try a soundbar, this soundbar. Purchased this Smart Soundbar to pair with my Samsung S90D tv I got during Black Friday. I hooked it up directly via HDMI since I read reviews of how the bluetooth is shotty. Garbage speaker stopped working the same day!!! The connection would lag when turning it on with the tv. You'd have to wait sometimes 2 minutes for it to sync and start outputting sound, that is until it wouldn't connect at all and stopped outputting sound. Honestly the sound is better from the tv than with this soundbar. RETURNING this weekend and definitely not worth the money even with the sale. Most of the new tvs that have the Dolby integrations sound great without soundbars anyway.

      I'm happy to hear you're a big Bose fan, but sorry to hear about the connection issues between your Smart Soundbar and Samsung S90D TV! Connecting the TV to the soundbar via HDMI is definitely the thing to do; however, any connection issues don't necessarily indicate that the soundbar is faulty. One thing you should try is adjusting the HDMI-CEC settings in the Bose app. This can be done by trying all the different options under Settings > Power > HDMI Power and Audio.     Not compatible with PC output HDMI

    The reason I bought it was to install it on my gaming computer and I only have one HDMI input to connect from the HDMI output of the graphics card etc 4090 and I can connect and I can't be recognized by the computer either without any way to make it work, all the methods don't work and the Bluetooth of this bar has latency, so there is no recommendation to play on the computer through Bluetooth. I can't make the sound quality so good since Bose only makes these for TV

      Thanks for your review! It's true that the Smart Soundbar isn't primarily designed for gaming consoles or computers. The soundbar's HDMI input (2.0b) needs the connected device to have either ARC or eARC, which almost all TVs have. As for Bluetooth, a small amount of audio latency can occur, but this is due to standard Bluetooth signal processing, and isn't something Bose can directly influence.     Wish I had done the Sonos instead. Purchased both the sound bar and subwoofer. Setup was not intuitive and very difficult. The app is not user friendly. Have it connected via ARC to my TV. Sometimes it turns on when the TV turns on but most of the time I have to go into my app and manually turn on the soundbar or go into my TV settings and change it from ARC to Bluetooth and back again for the soundbar to become “active”. My wife hate it as we will almost always have no sound until you “fiddle” with it to get the sound on. Once the sound is working, it is great. The quality of the sound is fantastic. The sub is great too. But I’m sure I would have liked the Sonos sound too. Am very disappointed overall though due to its usability.

    Terrible warranty service

    I paid $500.00 for this soundbar 1 year ago and had to send it to Bose for warranty service 4 months later. I had to pay $40.00 to send it back to them so that they could warranty their product, and months later it was returned to me and the Bluetooth connection on it did not work. That did it for me with Bose, so I purchased a Klipsch soundbar and donated the Bose junk to charity.

    Do not buy open box items from Best Buy

    This is a review for the open box item. I ordered open box -excellent which says it comes with all original items. It came with no remote and online agent told me I had to go to the store to get the replacement. I went to the store and they did not have the remote. Come back home and talk to the online agent again and they can't help with locating a remote or exchange for open box item and I would have to find a store with an open box item. Why would I pay for the item that in the description said it has all original items and have to go through this hassle? They even had me call Geeksquad and they were no help with this issue. I would never buy any open box item from Best Buy ever again.

    Please do not buy Bose. My personal experience was horrible. I bought this sound bar, then a month later bought a Bose bass module. After trying 2 different bass modules, and all tech suggestions neither worked properly due to WiFi. interference. I was able to return the bass modules, but Bose and Best Best Buy refuse to allow me to return the sound bar. So I’ve got a $500 sound bar with ZERO ability to connect a bass module.

    Would not pair with my new LG tv following the enclosed instructions. Even went on Youtube, but soundbar would not connect, It just kept circling. Returned and used by old Bose Solo soundbar which worked perfectly.

    I don't recommend this speaker because is hard to connect with the tv unless you pay extra fee for registration, i tried to register they said it was free they asked for credit card, saying that won't be a charge, but they charge me $ 39,,not cool

    The speaker itself is pretty decent. The app to control it is impossible to download. Very difficult to get it to connect to your home WiFi.

    Ive owned bose. This speaker is not smart, it is horrible. Wont let me turn off tv and then wont give me sound. Tried to return to best buy and they refused as it was after 15 days. Tried explaining i had a family emergency, so I could not do it in the 15 days (literally 2 days after it). I do not recommend this speaker. And will not be making any larger purchases from Best Buy again after this. The customer service is horrible. The executive team never responds to concerns. Complete a waste of 400 bucks! If i could give negative stars i would!

    The Geek Squad installed it and it sounds no better than my tv speakers - no bass, no mid-range and no treble. They are supposed to come back and reinstall the system and/or determine if the soundbar is defective and replace it.

    One star only because no star wasn't an option. THIS IS JUNK the 600 was JUNK too. My Bose Soundbar 600 worked for six months before dying which Bose has repaired THREE TIMES. I bought this model hoping to get around the constant repairs of the Soundbar 600 but this one was broken out of the box. I threw away everything that was Bose the satellite speakers and subwoofer and replaced everything with SONOS. Do yourself the favor and run from this dumpster fire and never look back.

    this speaker must be made by someone else besides Bose. It is horrible. It doesn't have the great sound that you expect from Bose. I know someone with an older sound bar and it is excellent even after so many years

Don't forget to activate AI Dialogue Mode, which provides ultra-crisp vocal clarity using machine learning. In the Bose app, just tap "Audio", and then "AI Dialogue Mode" to toggle the setting on.     Sadly had no Aux outlet so couldn’t connect it to my projector, so i returned it. I mean who doesn’t include an AUX outlet??

      Hi William, it's true that the Smart Soundbar has no AUX outlet. This output is not included on the majority of our smart soundbars, and the only way around it would be to purchase a third-party optical-to-AUX adapter. I hope this information is useful!
