Good buy, would purchase again
Posted by: ILikeBigTvs from: on
I originally had the Vizio 32" LCD smart tv that I purchased from target with a warranty. Well, my toddler threw a hair brush at it and of course it wasn't covered in the warranty I purchased although I had asked the girl in store and she said it would. Oh well. When it was time for a new tv, I decided to take my business elsewhere so here I am at Best Buy. I had been shopping for a week or two when this tv went on sale. I decided to go with this more reputable brand.
Functionality, it's an improvement from my Vizio. It connects to the wifi quickly and picks up much better signal than the other one did. The remote is sleek and easy to use. I enjoy it very much and if my wretched child breaks another one, I'd gladly purchase this one again from Best Buy.

Base model TV but functional
Posted by: TaterMcTatums from: on
I got this TV as a free gift for purchasing a new Galaxy S7 Edge. Since I already own a 60" 4K Samsung Smart TV, I figured that this would be an acceptable TV for like a bedroom or any place other than the living room. And as long as that is all you are looking for, this TV performs well. If you are looking to use this as your primary TV, I would suggest a higher end Samsung model.
-Quick and easy setup
-Low power consumption
-Decent picture quality
-Built-in speaker is quiet and gets "tinny" at louder volumes
-Only audio-out port is optical audio
-Smart TV apps are very slow to respond, almost if TV only has enough RAM/processing power to meet the minimum requirements

Consider other options

I bought this tv primarily to stream netflix, amazon, etc. I chose this tv because of samsung's good reputation. The picture was decent, but the sound is absolutely terrible. The main problem is that streaming any content was basically impossible. Netflix and Amazon took forever to load, and when they eventually did the movies would stop literally every 20 seconds. The tv would repeatedly lock up and freeze up so it couldn't even turn off. I spent hours trying to get it to work correctly. I even bought a wireless extender to boost my signal, which proved to be no help. I ended up returning the tv and buying a 32 inch sharp 1080 that wasn't a smart tv and added a roku stick. Easy to set up, better picture and sound, and most importantly Netflix and Amazon work amazing on my new set up, all for just 20.00 more. Apparantly the "smart" components on lower-cost smart tv's, even those from reputable manufacturers, are just not that great. Buy a regular tv and a roku and you can't go wrong.

Samsung does it Again!

I picked up the Samsung 32" class Smart TV model UN32J4500AF yesterday in store at Best buy. Retails $200.
The tv is sleek and seemless, just as almost all Samsungs latest and greatest. Was so light in weight in and out of the box. Literally 4 screws on the base sets the tv up. Plugged in, and after setting up language and wifi, The Tv connected itself to the Cable Sattelite. So easy.
Picture Quality is fabulously crisp and clear. TV is super thin. Remote control is easy to use. This was a bedroom tv upgrade from our 10 year old 32" Sony Flat Screen.
Definitely the best bang for your buck, you will become Samsung product loyal after using almost any of their products. Quality is unsurpassed with Samsung. Enjoy!

Good, cheap smart TV

The picture is good and the overall TV is very light, which is nice. It does seem to be a bit slow to respond to buttons on the remote, but no other complaints.

The Smart Wi-Fi functions make this one shine for all bedrooms or an enclosed patio. Great picture and easy to update.

Great entry level tv

The picture on this tv is very nice. Good contrast between lighter and darker colors. The smart hub has some nice things like Netflix and you can use Plex on it if you're streaming. The processor is not super speedy compared to my other Samsung tv, but I knew that going in. The LED's used again make for a great picture. For what I spent I couldn't have gotten a better deal.

Great Smart TV
Posted by: Biancanetta from: on
We bought this for our teenager because there is no satellite hook up in her room. It is small enough to fit on her dresser and large enough to see.
The picture and sound are both great for this purpose. It can get very loud. Samsung is always quality. This is not a TV to watch the big game with a bunch of your friends on. This is a TV for a bedroom, study, kids room, or pourch.
We love that hooked up to WIFI we can get HBOGo, Hulu, Pandora, Netflix, YouTube, and more. No need to pay the extra money for a 2nd satellite receiver when everything the kid watches anyway is available through the Smart Apps.
Also she loves that she can use the Screen Mirroring from her Galaxy Note phone to see her games, apps and social media enlarged.
For the price this is a really great deal. This TV comes with so many options for viewing that you won't need cable or satellite, though it can be added. And it has all of the standard ports for DVD players, games, etc. It can also be mounted, but it comes with a stand that works just fine.
Pros: Apps, Screen Mirroring, perfect size for small bedroom TV
Cons: Haven't found any yet

great smart tv for the money

With the cost of cable television going up and up, I wanted another option that I could use screen mirroring with. This tv works great, and mirroring was available with the 32" screen instead of only the huge screens like other brands. I've had it a month now and am very satisfied.

Samsung Smart TV Still Great
Posted by: BMo22 from: New York, NY on
This was the second Samsung Smart TV I've purchased. This one was a smaller one for the bedroom with the idea of not needing to run cable to the bedroom because of the abundance of APPs available. Overall this was a brilliant move. We can watch about 80% of what we watch on our main tv. The one negative is the new SmartHub. I don't know if its simply a new version or a version for smaller tv's but its not as good as the one on our 4 year old Samsung Smart Tv 48'. It seems to offer less apps particularly the one that lets you stream videos, pictures, and music straight from your computer. Overall a great tv but the new smarthub was a little bit of a let down.
