Sharp Plasmacluster KC850U Ion Air Purifier: Able to cycle clean air throughout a bedroom, this purifier automatically monitors a room's air quality, and adds humidity when needed. Plus, a quiet mode keeps noise from becoming a distraction.
Absolutely relieved to get it

Their plasma claster technology is amazing! When I once bought their small air purifier for my girlfriend to put close to bed, she recoverd from chronic coughing. That's why I bought one for myself. As for humidifying function, it doesn't humidify so quickly, but it doesn't make damp either.
On the whole, it has humidifying and air-purifying fucntion together, and you must be relieved to get this stuff. They have been a top brand in Japan in this sectoer.

Works As Promised

I've tried many different kinds of humidifiers, over the years, and this one is by far the best of all. Other models sent too much humidity into the air, made the room feel colder, and left left a mild musty smell. This unit keeps the air pleasant, both by maintaining an appropriate balance of humidity and by cleaning the air, with the ion filtration system. it is also has a sleek design, and runs quietly, which means it's fine to locate it in the bedroom. I've already recommended it to friends, and am seriously considering purchasing a second unit, for my study.

It works well and the air does smell better. The only issue I have is that the filter did not last me more than a month. At nearly $100 for a replacement filter, this thing can get expensive.

Great all in one system

This humidifier/ air purifier works great! My kids sleep better. It was easy to setup and use. The directions even encourage the use of tap water! If you run out of water the machine turns off automatically! It was well worth the money and I would definitely recommend it.

I bought this air purifier for work. I share an office with a girl who has a lot of allergies. She always sneeze in our office. When I bought this air purifier, all her allergies were gone and sneezing has stopped. This air purifier is well worth it even for people who don't have allergies.

I have been doing a lot of research on air humidifier and air purifier and this particular model had really good ratings all over the internet. This has stopped me from dryness and dust from my room. Highly recommended!

Great product that works well

Purchased to replace former humidifiers that last the typical 1-3 years. These work great and we love the displays and how the air filters are easy to clean. The only recommendation I have is to have a larger reservoir for the humidifier.

Previously had a Honeywell Air Genius that was returned because of build quality issues. After much research, settled on this Sharp unit and couldn't be happier. I have a dog that is wildly allergic to dust mites, so indoor air quality is paramount to me.
The unit is well-built, extremely (shockingly) quiet on low speed, and the humidifying function has helped with the dry winter air here in Missouri. Cracked hands no more! My favorite function of this device by far though is the indoor air quality monitor. The unit will run on low speed most of the time, unless my dog has come in from outside, I'm cleaning/dusting, or any other normal chores that affect the air quality. The lights on the front of the unit will change from green to yellow/red depending on how dirty the air is, then ramp up the speed of the fan to quickly clear the air of the offender. It'll then go back down to a maintaince fan speed.
A little pricey, sure, but for allergy sufferers it's well worth the money. There is less dust in my room, the air smells cleaner, and my dog isn't scratching herself nearly as much. would buy again!

I really enjoy this product. I just wish I didn't have to fill up the humidifier so much! But that might mean its doing its job too.
