Good quality media with nice printable surface
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Verbatim is my favorite brand for printable DVD media. I've never had a bad burn, ink dries fast, and the white surface stays clean. As far as packaging- my order arrived as pictured, on a covered spindle sealed in shrink-wrap. Another reason I like Verbatim is that their spindles stack securely and don't slip off each other. The only minus is that you can't print all the way to the center hole.

Best media on the market!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using Verbatim forever. I always get a great burn and a coaster is rare! I have discs that were burned in 2007 and they still work great.

50 discs without a spindle...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just received these in the mail today. The picture on the web site clearly shows what I would typically expect for a stack of 50 discs, a plastic covered spindle wrapped by the shrink wrap with all of the marketing information on it.. In reality, what I received was a pile of 50 discs in a shrink wrapped label. No spindle to be found... Heck, I know that when many people buy 50 discs at a time they refer to it as a spindle... so it clearly in most minds should have a spindle. Does someone at Verbatim really think that people want to deal with 50 loose discs when they open the packaging? This would only be acceptable if one was going to burn all discs immediately, which for most people is not the case. We need packaging designed to keep the discs clean and safe until they are used. But wait, I would have only subtracted a star or two and used an old spindle from some discs I could consolidate, but it gets worse... The box I received showed no signs of rough handling or damage, but inside the box was a pile of loose disks that seem to have simply slipped out of the shrink wrapped label. Due to the fact that I am very careful about keeping dust off my discs to ensure a clean write of data, I consider these unusable and have no confidence in them. I will be seeking a replacement, but since my local BB doesn't carry this item, I will probably just get a refund, and it will unfortunately cost me money and/or gas to do it. I have had confidence in the Verbatim brand since the days when I used 5.25" floppies, no company is perfect, but they have been affordable and pretty reliable... However, it seems like they are going too cheap on the packaging. If they correct the packaging to reflect what is displayed, I would probably recommend this product, but as it stands, I cannot.
