This is my first Wacom and I had never used one to draw with before. I draw cartoons with real ink on paper. I was coloring them on photoshop using a mouse. I've had the Wacom for a couple weeks now and I have gotten used to it real quick. I am now experimenting with Corel Paint for my cartoons and it works great with the program.
It was also cool that the program came with Artrage. I have that program on my Samsung tablet and it's a fun program though I can't use it for my professional work as I can't make the project into the right files my clients needs.
Yes, this Wacom is small but it doesn't matter since your pen has to go where it is on the screen. It works out. I was apprehensive because of the size, but now I think I prefer a small tablet. It doesn't take up much space on my desk.
They say it's for beginners and I am a beginner at drawing on a tablet. I've been a professional cartoonist for over 25 years though. This is worth trying out and the price is right too. I recommend it if your needs are similar to mine.

Really good starter tablet

It's not going to get you a career in graphic design but it will certainly help you do simple enough projects. Sad that the old Wacom used to come with Photoshop and the new ones don't. But for someone looking for a free replacement, check out GIMP software, it works great with this tablet.

This is great for a hobbyist. I high recommend this product. I've always wanted to draw on the computer but found super difficult with just a mouse. This feel natural and I can draw much better. I even post my pictures on deviantART. It does take some time to get used to, however.

Useful tool, but has issues
Posted by: Animas3d from: on
I was thinking of getting the Intuos Pro or the Art, but went for the basic Draw instead. There is an issue with the clone tool (as well as the regular painting tools when sampling a color from the pixels in an image) in Photoshop when using the tablet, which seems to be caused by pressing the Alt key which invokes the Menu system in Windows. This causes the cursor to jerk and skip around and is very frustrating. It does not seem to happen with the mouse. I am not sure whether the problem is due to the Wacom tablet or due to Windows and/or Adobe. In any case, this should definitely be addressed by Wacom or Adobe or Microsoft and caused me days of frustration where I considered returning it until I found a workaround which basically was to press the Alt key twice before sampling the color. This was not an ideal solution, but it works nonetheless. Besides that, the Draw is a decent enough tablet and basically does what you expect it to do. By the way, it doesn't recognize the tilt of the stylus, if you want that, you need to get the other Wacom models.

We got this for our daughter who loves to draw. It was easy to install and she has been addicted to this for over a month. We weren't sure at first if the size was going to be an issue but its working out great. She has said anything bigger might be overkill for what she is doing.

Smaller is better

Tried the Medium tablet first and didn't like the multi touch feature. Returned and snagged this and it works perfectly. Also the software that supposedly comes with the Med is all trial based however this Small tablet actually came with ArtRage. Double bonus: cheaper and has the software. Still a bit spendy for what you get and the tips wear down somewhat quickly.
