I brought back my Kitchen aid stand mixer to have it serviced. I had purchased a 2-year Geek Squad warranty and the power switch was only working 50% of the time. I was told to return it for store credit or exchange as they do not fix or service the small appliance. I went to the Best Buy store and attempted to exchange, as I was told I would only receive a store credit of $250 or so for the mixer, which now costs $450. I opted for the exchange since it would not cover purchasing a new mixer and they were not willing to fix my old one. The mixer I purchased, the exact model number, was no longer available, they had since released a newer version since it had been just under 2 years. When I selected the mixer I wanted to exchange, I was told that the system would not let them override the price difference and that I would have to pay the difference. I was not okay with that since I was told the option of repair was not an option. Exchange should be for the same or newer regardless of the unavailability or no longer made models. After 20 minutes the department manager, who was kind and understanding, figured out a way to make it work. I then asked to purchase a 2-year warranty on the new mixer. He obliged and I was able to purchase the 2-year warranty for the new mixer, unfortunately, I was told it would only cover the cost of the original mixer ($250) if something went wrong and I had to exchange it again. This does not seem fair or right. I am not happy with the thought of the mixer breaking and having to go through the same process again.

Extra protection for extra money. Most probably wont use it but you’ll never know. Most of it is redundant with the warranty which you could not read it not until you open what you purchased.

Cooks pizzas, chicken wings, bacon, and steak properly. I really dislike the cleaning aspect. The grease that gets splattered against the sides of the oven is practically not able to be cleaned. It really is an eye sore for a great looking machine when it sits on the counter top.

I had a TV for 3 years. It worked great with no issues. When the back light went out Geek Squad service decided it could not be fixed but should be replaced. I brought home the exact same make & model TV with the Heek Squad extended warranty. Immediately out of the box the replacement TV had issues with sound cutting out. Some the TV was brand new I was thinking it must have been either the wifi, the wifi speakers, or the connection. After trying the TV with the internal speakers, with other speakers, and in different rooms of the house or became apparent the issue was the TV. At this point, audio all together stopped working. I took the TV into the Geek Squad. After 3 weeks they say the TB just needed the software reloaded and it's fine. That same day I took the TV home the audio cuts out 3 times. I took the TV back into Geek Squad 3 more r times, just to be told each time there's nothing wrong with the TV. The Geek Squad manager decides to go ahead and replace the TV at this point. However, after 7 months of back and forth with Geek Squad, the TV is now listed at $230 instead of the $149 we paid for it. After another lengthy argument with the sales team, I was given a $75 discount and forced to pay for the warranty again. They say they fulfilled the warranty by returning the amount I paid for the TV. Even though the TV was damaged out of box, because it took the Geek Squad over 7 months to "fix" it then replace it it was past the 30 exchange time. So I had to pay the extra amount for the TV (after the $75 discount they finally have me) plus the warranty amount again. After another argument with the Geek Squad manager (when he called to find out how my interactions with the Geek Squad team went) I was finally reimbursed the extra amount I was forced to pay to replace my TV and the warranty amount. Which meant driving back out to the store again to pick that up. I'm glad they finally corrected their error, but the fact that it happened in the first place - but to mention how I was treated through the process - makes me never want to purchase anything through Best Buy. It certainly enforces the truth that it is no longer worth it to pay for the extra warranty. Per a Geek Squad person, when Best Buy for a new CEO two years ago is when the warranties stopped being effective. Now they just replace everything rather than fix it, in essence forcing you to purchase another warranty again right away. It's no longer about fixing things so the customers can keep their device as long as possible. Now it's about selling more devices and more warranties. A very bad 180 by Best Buy.

This service can be super useful, unfortunately Best Buy was misleading in how they helped me with it. I had an appliance with a warranty issue. Best Buy insisted on an in store exchange via their warranty because “it’s better” and promised since it was a warranty thing not an accidental damage the plan would transfer to the new one. THIS IS NOT TRUE. If you have an item in the manufacturer’s warranty for a covered issue - USE THAT WARRANTY. The plan will not transfer to the new one and you basically just paid for a warranty service you already got for free through the manufacturer. Corporate told me to go back to the store and speak to a manager to rectify the issues we had. In store gave me to a colleague, wouldn’t call a manager to help, and that rep told me too bad but he could “sell me a new plan if I wanted” I basically paid Best Buy for the warranty I had for free, lied about it, and they laughed in my face when I asked questions about it. So this can be a good service - but make sure it’s not in warranty first otherwise you’re just giving Best Buy a donation.

I didn’t read the fine print. Since I bought a small appliance, we have to go to Best Buy to get the service we need - over an hour from our home. The appliance did not work as it should, so we are asking for a replacement. Also, there was only a 15 day return or exchange policy on the appliance, and that includes shipping time. Since we live in a rural area, this means that we get maybe 10 days to get it, try it and determine if there’s anything wrong with it. I should have read the fine print on all of this before purchasing the appliance and the Geek Squad service on the appliance. I also bought it as a birthday gift, so that also shortened the time that we had to check things over before the return time was out.

Works great and coffee tastes amazing. The versatility of having both K-Cup & Expresso coffee pods gives you more choices for coffee. However, there's one big drawback. It's super noisy. Had I known it would be this noisy, probably wouldn't have bought it. Our last machine was super quiet, so when you get used to that for several years, it's hard to adjust to a noisy one. If you think you can tolerate the noise, I would recommend, otherwise, I would say keep searching for another one that's quieter.

Great technology, bummer that the machine stops working in a year with minimal use. Begin to cut on and off while using after a few months of use. Fast forward a year and completely not working. I saw the horror stories before about this product and its my reality. I expected this and purchased the two year warranty. Hoping to get a new one asap and replace in a year :(

I haven’t got to try the lid yet, the batteries are not included. This is a light duty trash can. To say the walls are thin is a understatement. After a grocery trip the trash bag had a lot of filler items, the plastic grocery bags, clear plastic wrap that goes around bottles, etc… I gently pushed down on the items to remove the wasted air space and I heard a weird noise. The back corner bowed outwards linking the metal resulting in two large inward dents on the right side. My advice would be to keep your old trash can handy, I have little faith that this can handle heavy objects or even a regular bag of trash. It is a light duty can.

Does it cover the product if damaged? Yes, if not without its fair share of rigamaroll. But if it needs to be replaced, you better hope it's on sale if you want the same model, because they don't do an even swap. You may come out of pocket for the same item that was damaged due to something out of your control.

If you product malfunctions, breaks, or whatever within the first 2 years, great! You're covered. BUT.... This is deceptive because I purchased in hopes of the 2 year protection plan covering 2 years AFTER the orig. warranty like almost every other extended warranty out there. And I kid you not, my product died just a few minutes ago, and the orig. purchase was 5/14/21 -- only 6 days after all these warranties expired. So mad right now.

[Employee of bestbuy] It's not very big so my feet will not fit fully submerged without spilling the water out. It gets hot which is nice.

Received a USED product. It literally had a breadcrumb in it and all the plastic wrap just clumped beneath the air fryer. Gross! Go into the store and CHECK your item before purchasing. I'm so grossed out I'm returning it!

Great to have, but frustrating when an item breaks less than 2 months and then again less than 20 days and I am suppose to pay the $33 dollars each time to protect it, maybe if it goes out this quick you deal with the manufacture and let us keep the warranty
