When I purchased this 2-year protection plan, I specifically asked about additional charges beyond the price of the plan. I was told that the only expense was the purchase price of the plan. Hours later, I receive an email regarding my protection plan. The email laid out the service fees that are associated with this protection plan. But I was told I would not be charged beyond the $50 that I had already paid! After finding out that there are service fees associated with this 2-year protection plan, I ran the numbers (what I paid for my phone, service fees, protection plan price), and I concluded that I would just be better off buying a new phone if something happens to my current one.

I have never had to use the Geek Squad for any reason here at BB but like an extended warranty on a car its nice to know you have it if you need to use it

I filed a claim and got charged 105 bucks but never got the shipping information. After calling 8 or 9 phone numbers and spending 3 or4 hours on the phone maybe it is resolved. I was under the impression that I just had to take the phone back to the store and it would be fixed or replaced. That is not how it works for the Samsung. I could have bought a new phone for the cost of the replacement and the amount I had to pay for the repair or replacement.

I just opened this for Christmas. I HATE THIS PHONE because it is TOO HEAVY and EVEN LARGER THAN THE LAST "affordable" model. [If you're tall and have large hands, you can ignore this] I have not used it nor do I intend to, though I may be forced to unless I want to spend $1000 on one that folds in half. Now I have to try to return it.. why don't we have 30 days to return gifts??? at Christmas time??
