I love everything about this laptop. The nitrosense is so helpful to switch fan speeds, and man those fan work! Also, THIS WORKS FOR PCVR GAMING!!! It can get hot during those gamimg sessions but the nitrosense always automatically turns thw fans higher and it fr helps. The led colored keyboard is one of my favorite features. I also use this to work from home and it can handle multiple tabs and apps opened and video calls at same time. Literally amazing laptop and also I really like how you have to push the charger into the plug to secure it more so it isnt easily ripped out. Battery life is fantastic for me.

Comes ready for east upgrades, runs games like Valorant at 60-120 fps with ease right out of the box. Tons of space for (potential) storage after a few minor add ons. I installed a 2.5” Samsung SSD (1TB), a second M.2 PCle NVMe SSD (1TB), and a second 8gb stick of ram. All of which was super easy, just plug-and-play stuff. Only need a screwdriver. Mine came with one 8GB stick of ddr4 ram (3.2GHz!). Also included the ribbon to connect an additional 2.5” SSD, making the process no frills and easy. Only disappointing thing is that, for the money ($779), it would’ve been nice if it came with a bit more storage or two sticks of ram out of the box, since I ended up paying around $300 for all the components to upgrade it. The LED screen does feel a bit dated, but it gets the job done. Ultimately, I’m super happy with this laptops performance overall and can’t complain since they’re now out of stock and would’ve rather had it sooner for $100 more than waiting and saving the $100.

Now this is it, here's a story, about a little guy that lived in a blue world, now all day and night and everything he sees is just red, quite red, from Nitro 5. For what I paid for it, Upgraded from a 1650, what a a great decision, Im max settings playing Dayz, and I dont stutter like I did on the 1650. Havent had any issues so far.

I bought this for my two sons a year ago. They wanted something they could play games on, mess around on YouTube and use for school. I got it on sale last year so it was a pretty good deal. I did end up only choosing 256 ram instead of 512 and of course now I regret it. So, I’m looking to upgrade it now. Besides that it’s A great gaming laptop for their first one, and for the value.

I’ve only had this for for under 24 hours. Ive done some tests to it. It can run over half the games on steam according to System Requirements Lab. Drivers are only 13 months outdated and if you have a driver update software, its a quick update. Some popular games you can play on here are Gta 5, Fortnite, Minecraft, Apex at lower graphics, Arma 3, League of LegendsRocket League, and many more.

Got this laptop about 2 weeks ago. For the price ($649) it really is a deal. I upgraded the RAM to 32 GB and replaced the 256GB with two brand new 1TB NVme drives. I've been able to play a lot of games at 70-100 FPS at MED settings. I've been playing Destiny 2 (80-100 FPS) and Elden Ring (60 FPS) and they run fine. The laptop doesn't get too hot. It comes with Nitrosense so you can control the fans, it has a Max settings but it does loud. If you play with a headset it won't matter. You can set it to auto with CoolBoost and it keeps it pretty cool. Hottest it's gotten is 77C. Overall, very happy with this laptop. If you really tweak some of the settings you can get 6+ hours of battery life.

An Excellent All-Rounder Does it play games amazeballs well? Ha, no. It does play them, but not at 144 fps. Think 60 fps in high details for 3 year-old games, medium details for last year's games and medium/low for today's games. But that's not its greatest strength. It has a Thunderbolt 4 port (full speed is TBD) and 2 (TWO, DOS) HARD DRIVE EXPANSIONS, one PCI-E, the other for a 2.5". Mine came with the adapter for the 2.5" drive, your mileage may vary. I also ordered it alongside an 8 gig stick 'o RAM, so I have no idea how this thing performs out of the box with the 8 gigs it comes with. I would highly recommend you do that too. :) In other news, the LCD screen is meh with sub-par response time compared to other high-refresh rate screens and plenty of ghosting. I've seen high-refresh rate laptop screens with lower max brightness, but this one still lags a little bit behind most laptops in that arena. The keyboard is pretty cool and VERY quiet but the "Nitro" key is annoying and I sometimes press it when I mean to hit backspace. I've gotten 6.5 hours of battery life out of it after doing a few things, like set the Nvidia settings to Integrated only, Acer's settings to Power Saver when on Battery, turned Battery Saver on and set the max CPU power to 60 percent. Otherwise, you're looking at 2 hours if you're lucky. Speakers aren't half bad. They get kind of shrill at max volume but they're perfectly average and not, like, eww. No bass. Don't expect bass. Webcam is 720p and isn't half bad, both with picture and sound. It works well and looks good, definitely better than most. 10/10 would recommend again. (With extra memory and additional hard drive.)

Picked this up so I didn't have to bring my ITX build to my buddys house every time for gaming. it's a 1650 mobile so don't expect it to blow you away, but it holds up just fine, especially if you play esports or less intense titles. Cons: - The IPS display could be better but that's not a deal breaker whatsoever. - Battery life out of the box is average at best - only 8gb ram Pros: - Runs lighter games very well (think skyrim, fallout, borderlands, fortnite) all well above 60 fps 1080p - Runs heavier games admirably (think horizon zero dawn, rdr2) around 50-60 fps 900p/1080p low settings FSR on - temps don't get out of control but does run a bit warm (you can do different things to mitigate temps) - Easily upgrade RAM to 16gb (3200mhz, yay!) - Easily upgrade SSDs Something to add: So far i cannot get Nvidia's Image Scaling to work, I believe it's something to do with the partially used integrated graphics. It seems that there may be a fix in place for this sometime soon though. All in all, this is a great value. Picked it up for $629.99 on sale and it's worth every penny. Windows 11 functions properly, its very quick, and doesn't feel super cheap. Can get loud with the fans going at high rpm but headphones, undervolting, and power management can help that.

Pretty good starter gaming laptop. It Does get hot easily. I’ve had to have the custom fan settings set to max. Also the battery life isn’t short. I’ve had to keep mine plugged in. Sometimes I won’t get a notification saying my battery is low. So to avoid raging just keep it plugged in lol. Nonetheless, I will say it is easy to upgrade and replace things. That in itself sold me cause it saves me more money especially when you can easily look up how to do so on YouTube :) My nephew liked mine a lot and he was gifted one for his birthday. He’s 14 not very tech savvy but a gamer. He was able to upgrade his ram and ssd.

You can get done what you want done. I've upgraded the RAM to 16GB and also attached a 1TB external hard drive. Yes there was a version of this laptop with those specs but I got what I could afford at the time and desperately needed. Ultimately this laptop works well and can play games with ease like Sea of Thieves, Overwatch, Fortnite, Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail. I did run into an issue that even though it says 144hrz I had to lower it to 60hrz because some stuff wasn't functioning properly, and this was before I did the upgrades.

I’ve had this laptop for a little over a year now…It’s GREAT for gaming but anything else is a no go. It dies quickly but, that’s to be expected with gaming laptops. When you’re running a game and your laptop starts to get hot..then you can just turn on the built in fans or sometimes they’ll quick on. Overall it’s pretty good if you take care of it

Got this for my son. It's easily handled schoolwork, and some light gaming, without a hiccup. Love that is has 2 NVMe M.2 slots, and 2 RAM slots. Runs smaller games like the Sims, and Minecraft, just fine in stock config, but needed a few upgrades to handle larger/faster games.
