this was a very different film then the first two films. ripley is now alone on a penal colony with her good friend the alien which has followed her again. if that is not bad enough ripley is carrying an alien inside of her. by this time the producers of the film were thinking along the lines of alien vs predator and weaver wanted nothing to do with that franchise so at the end of the film ripley makes the ultimate sacrifice. i managed to get my hands on the extended edition of this film and liked it better than this one but it seems this was the only one best buy had at this great price.

This movie gets a lot of hate, and some of it is deserved. The theatrical version is producer meddling at its finest. But the alternate edition is (in my opinion) much more enjoyable and definitely worth the $8 asking price. If you're a fan of the Alien franchise, it's worth a watch. Just don't expect it to live up to the first two films.

It's no Alien or Aliens, but it's way better than everything else that came after it in the Alien series. Sigourney Weaver and the rest of the cast do a fine job with what's given and the tone of the film feels like a natural progression from what's come before. The set and characters designs as well as the look for the film are great. It's just too bleak at certain points, especially the ending. It feels like it goes to far for pure shock value at times. Getting rid of Hicks and Newt from Aliens also sucked. Overall though, I wasn't bored and hey, it was better than Alien: Resurrection.

I had seen Alien3 (Alien cubed?) a long time ago. I recently decided to purchase it because I was wanting to rewatch all of the films. This copy comes with the theatrical and extended versions. The extended is a MUCH better film. I would even say a really good film. Check it out!

This was no doubt the worst of the first 3 films in the Alien franchise but a little better than Alien 4. This edition includes both, the theatrical and Assembly cut, which is 30mins longer and closer to director David Finch's original vision. The problem I had with A3 was that it lacked the suspense of the first 2 films and it's disappointing ending for the fate of Ripley, which I won't spoil for those who have not watched the film

One of the weakest films of the "Alien" series. I kind of plodded along. It was too slowly paced. It was a disappointment of the series that almost tried to return to the originals menacing factor instead of the "Aliens" fast pace and action. It could have been so much better.

It would be hard for any movie to follow Aliens, so David Fincher's subtle, dark sequel is often overlooked. Bluray is great except for the big special effects moments because they are a little dated. That actually makes it fun though.

Not as good as the first 2 "Alien" films but better than 4& Prometheus. The Penal Colony is a good setting for this third installment. Own all 5 films. The new Alien movie is almost due out.

The blu-ray is fine. It's whatever. I only bought this because I hadn't seen it and I was wanting to watch it to prep for Alien: Covenant. This movie just isn't that great. I've heard how absolutely horrible it is and it's not THAT bad but it's definitely not good. Worth a watch at least once though.

Cool "Alien" sequel. Different than the second one, as it's much simpler and more character-centric. Worth being because it includes the extended Director's Cut.

If you're an Aliens fan, you've got to have #3. More creepy aliens and they are on a prison planet. Sigourney and a shaved head!

A very underrated entry in the Alien series. The blu-ray transfer is good, though certainly not great.

Not as good as the first two Alien movies, but it closes the trilogy properly.

This is where the franchise heads downhill. Similar to any franchise when you try something new just to be different.
