This mighty speaker is lightweight, very portable and powerful, Sounds was clear and loud enough to satisfy media consumption. It is waterproof and has 4 hours of battery life on full charge and also has good wireless range. It can fill entire small-moderate room to enjoy the music and sound for all the people. I got this on deal and use it with my laptop for which sound is almost low. So, I can use it with my laptop at least to fulfill my work.

This speaker is small but mighty! The sound is crisp and clear! And boy does it have some BASS! I love that we can take it anywhere! And by anywhere I mean in the pool and on the go! The kids love that they can rock out with it in the pool! It's easy to operate and has a long battery life! This is a totally awesome speaker for the price and size!

Having just moved to Florida after spending the first 50+ years of my life in New Jersey and New York, I realized that I need to have some waterproof items. So, to enhance my pool and beach time, I went out looking for some fairly priced Bluetooth speakers. I was looking for portable and lightweight, waterproof and of course with good sound quality and battery life. I did what I usually do and headed out to Best Buy and ended up getting the very economical Altec Lansing Baby Boom XL Portable Bluetooth Speaker. After I was able to figure out the very complicated plastic packaging (punch holes in both sides and press up with two fingers), and get the speaker out, I found paring with my LG Smartphone very easy. The volume controls and Bluetooth button on top serve as dual use purpose. The Bluetooth button is also pause / play or answer a phone call. The volume up/down is also advance or rewind. With a certified IP67 waterproof rating, the Baby Boom XL can handle being brought onto the sand, mud or even tossed into the pool – it will float! Most importantly for me is the sound quality for an ultra lightweight speaker was excellent, with about 6 hours of battery life on a 2-hour charge. It makes this ideal for me to carry in my small laptop bag. It’s now with me wherever I go traveling up and around Florida. This product gets my 4.5/5 star recommendation and I suggest you head out to Best Buy and get yourself an Altec Lansing Baby Boom XL Portable Bluetooth Speaker today. Or buy two units and pair them for true stereo sound!

I love this cute little speaker! I was able to pair it with my phone in seconds. It is small and compact and comes with a carabiner so I can hang it from my belt loop when I am outside. My husband uses it in his workshop. You don't have to worry about damage because it is waterproof, dirtproof and can withstand drops. It puts out a lot of clear sound so you can hear it without having it right next to you. It is a lot more convenient than headphones. I charge it at night and it lasts me all day since I don't use it constantly. I have also charged it in the car. Overall this has solved a big problem for me since my phone volume is so low that I rarely even hear it ring.

My 5 star review centers around the fact this is a very small portable speaker; not a neighborhood disturbing boom box. I have had several Altec Lansing products all of which were impressive, spendy but impressive. This is sans the spendy part. A fine sounding speaker best used as a personal speaker and avoiding the urge to think you can power up a party. The sound range is full, the bass is small but it is there considering (not a boom box) the highs are clear and the volume is clear to full volume. Not terribly loud and is perfect that way for a personal unit. This is a very good value, sound is good, battery life is sufficient, (depending on how loud you like playing it), I haven't dropped it yet so I can't attest to its durability. For the cost its hard to go wrong. I would certainly purchase this again.

I love the amazing sound quality of this item, and it’s rugged and durable. It’s so lightweight and the convenience of its small size (plus the fact that it’s waterproof) makes it an outstanding choice for days at the pool! When I first turned it on and pumped up the volume, my husband and I both said, “Whoa!” Because we were both startled by the volume. I highly recommend this product!!!

My duaghter actually took over the Altec Lansing Baby Boom LX Portable Bluetooth Speaker because she loved it to much and it was easy for her to take from her room to the restroom when she showered. She used to try and take my tablet so I was trilled that she fell in love with this spaker. There is plenty of battery life, up to 30 hours! So she can safely use it while she is taking a shower or bath. I just purchased this item and it is great. I have two expensive Sony Bluetooth speakers and this Altec unit equals or exceeds their ability. It is lightweight, holds a charge for a long period of time, water resistant, and is loud. The best part is that its price was very low and inexpensive. Great buy, great item.

This little thing is perfect for outings with family, especially with kids. My kids are teens and they like how little it is and light weight. We all are enjoyIng how loud it can get along with the ease of use. It comes in a variety of colors and best of all the sound quality is clear.

Just 1 1/2 hrs play time whit Bluetooth... very very bad deal.

I was a bit skeptical considering its lower price but this little package has a sound much bigger than what it may seem like. Very light weight, easy to cary, quick to charge, battery lasts several hours and above all water proof! Indeed a bestbuy

Great product to take to the pool or on the go as it doesn't take up much room. I've gotten so many compliments on the boom box wanting to know where I got it. With 6 hours of battery life, it lasts long for any party. I also love that you can amplify the sound by connecting 2 speakers together for double the volume. Way more good sound comes from this than you would think given its size. It connects via bluetooth easily, has a strong case and is waterproof. Way more volume than I expected from a unit this small. We have found it great on our boat.
