This echo has as good of sound as my original. The only down side is that I had to spend another $40 on attachable rechargeable battery unit

I have pretty much every echo and the sound is far better with this echo compared to the 1st and 2nd gen echo. Bass and treble sounds great!!

I picked this up to replace my 1st gen echo and I’m glad I did. This updated model is not only smaller, but has better internal components which means cleaner and crisper sounds and a smaller form factor. If you’re looking for a really good smart speaker, look at the Amazon Echo.

I'm coming from a Harman Kardon Invoke with Cortana (I know, there are dozens of us!). Alexa as an app is a bit easier to use compared to Cortana, and the speaker quality is good, but not great like the Invoke was. If you want excellent sound quality, you're going to need a few things like an Amazon Music HD subscription and either the additional subwoofer or the Echo Studio. I personally just went with the basic Echo as it was good enough for me in most cases. Still hanging on to the invoke for music though.

Added this to the kitchen instead of using an echo dot. Sound is great and gets quite loud for the size with little distortion.

I have two Amazon Echo’s 3rd Gen connected to the Echo Sub. Playing Music on this set-up sounds great, rich highs & nice deep bass.

Alexa is for sure one of the best purchases of the year 2019. The sound is good, and the AI behind is very impressive. Design is good.

It’s bigger and a little louder than its little brother. That’s about the only difference. Easy to use, does what it’s suppose to

I do like Alexa and the Echo products sound good. I was dismayed when I found out this 3rd generation with better bass cannot be set up in stereo mode. At least I can play them in "everywhere" mode.

The echo is small and doesn't take up much space. I like the gray color and the material of the echo. It is easy to dust clean.

The echo sounds great and has loads of bass. The interaction works very well, we haven't had any issues with the Echo to date.

The bass on this one makes it sound really good. I honestly like the large one better (the echo studio). If you're interested in quality just go ahead and get the echo studio. if you dont want to spend the little extra money this one is still good.

I love the capabilities that this Alexa has. I love how responsive and reliable this is. I am constantly learning new things that I can have my Alexa do and learning of the "easter eggs" within. I get apps and emails that both remind me of the various things Alexa can do, which is very helpful because is it surprising just how much this does do. I love setting up routines, playing the daily Harry Potter quiz, listening to my latest audiobook, checking the weather, or just listening to a little music. These are just the most common ways I like to use Alexa. I can also type or send audio messages from work to home so that my kids can hear a quick midday message from me, which is a feature I really enjoy. What I love is that Alexa understands quite well. It understands any way I phrase what I ask, understands my kids, and the response time is near immediate. The only thing about this version is that some people may find the speaker not to be powerful enough to jam out to some music loudly. Music maxed out can sound distorted and simply, not very good. However, 75% volume is plenty loud enough for my living space and sounds very clear. Overall, Alexa is fun, useful, and an enjoyable experience for the whole family. I am still learning what I can do due to what Alexa can accomplish and I highly recommend.
