Q: is there a charging port with this?
A: Hello! The Echo Dot 5th Gen does not require a charging port, it plugs directly into the wall. Below are the set up instructions that may be helpful, To set up your new Echo device, follow these steps: 1. Before setup, download or update the Alexa app in your mobile device app store. 2. Plug in your device. 3. Open the Alexa app . 4. Open More and select Add Device. 5. Select Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Plus and more. 6. Follow the on screen instructions to set up you device. Q: Do have to have an Amazon account to use Alexa?
A: I think so. You have to have the Alexa app on your phone to connect it to the wifi in your house. It asks for an Amazon account which i have so I didn't try to set it up without one. I am pretty sure you have to have an Amazon account but it doesn't have to be Prime.
Q: Is the Echo Dot 5th generation any different than Echo Dot 4th generation?
A: Very small difference between the two genrations. The 5th generation is mpre clear sounding

You can ask Alexa to tune-in to your local radio station by name or dial position, as long as they broadcast also on the web. Q: Can I pair two echo dots together. So they place same music in diff rooms?
A: Absolutely, we have 5 all in different rooms. All you do is say "Alexa play music everywhere " and it will play whatever music you asked for.
