Amazon - Echo Show 5 (newest model), Smart display with Alexa+, 2x the bass and clearer sound - Charcoal

The Amazon Echo 5 is a amazing device I highly recommend it, it has so many features that make you feel as though you have a personal secretary on call around the clock .I had the ability to use the echo to watch Netflix and some other video apps like YouTube and tik tok. it also has the ability to connect to the internet for web browsing, extremely easy to set up and having a Amazon account makes it even better because it gives you the freedom to be able to keep track of your purchases or to make purchases, it also notifies you if you return an item that you purchase so that way you know when your refund is on its way. It allows you to receive notifications so you can know when you're purchases are in route to you and when they have arrived. It can link to my security system which is a great feature you just have to give permission for it to do so, I love the fact that I can access my doorbell so I can see who's at my door and you can speak to them clearly. By the way you don't have to have all your devices be Amazon or Alexa for it to work with other cameras or doorbells. It will work with Google and it will also work with ADT and other cameras that you probably can purchase from other websites and I know this for a fact. I also like the ability to be able to access my other blink cameras in my home so that way I can know what's going on and also keep track of my pets which is a great ability to have. You can also make video calls and receive video calls or have someone drop in once the permission is granted to receive information like if I want to tell my children dinner's ready I can drop into the intercom or I can tell them to go check the mailbox or go walk the dog so that's what the drop-in feature allows .you also have your privacy because the echo comes with a switch that blocks the camera so you don't have to worry about thinking anyone is watching you plus you can mute the device so the device cannot hear you, you can even change the name so instead of calling it Alexa you can call it names like echo or Amazon. Schedule appointments find out what the weather is going to be, get reminders of anything like planning future vacations the list goes on. One of my relaxing enjoyments is telling Alexa to play meditation music or to watch soothing Shoreline water crash up against the shore or even having it display a aquarium when i go to bed. So honestly the list of things you can do is Limitless so I highly recommend it, give it a chance you'll enjoy it and remember you don't have to get the newest one to reap all the benefits some of the older models can do a lot of the same things and they come in bigger sizes which is why I purchase two more. Yeah it's a great display and you can use it for alarm clock one of my children had trouble sitting there alarm clock so now to be able to just tell it what time you want to be up or to remind you to work out make things so much easier plus if you are not available to your child and your child need help with homework you can ask the device questions and more than likely it will have the answer.

We have the Amazon echo show 21 in the kitchen and use it as the main calendar and I have many of the blink indoor and outdoor security cameras along with the doorbell camera so when we were looking at getting our four boys new alarm clocks, we thought hey let’s go ahead and grab these so we actually bought five total, one for each kids bedroom and one for our bedroom. So we will start with the positive because there isn’t many. The initial set up was a breeze and super simple. I like that it easily linked up to the other devices that we have in the ecosystem and I think it’s pretty cool that you can have your albums display on those. Now the negative pretty much everything else. The touchscreen UI is incredibly slow. I feel like I’m using a first generation touchscreen cell phone. That is how slow and borderline unresponsive at times these things are. It’s not because we got a bad apple or anything because all five of them have the same performance level, being a product from Amazon in the great experiences I had with all the other devices from Amazon in the ecosystem from our security cameras to the echo show 21 to our eero router mesh system. This product is beyond disappointing, and the only reason it’s getting two stars is because of the ease of initial set up. But other than that, I would highly recommend not buying this or any of the smaller show versions because I would assume they’re all using the same SOC with an extremely low amount of memory, which is essentially the brain of the product. It is really unfortunate and I wish I would’ve returned all five of them immediately because after about six months due to the buggy performance with the UI and the fact that half the time it doesn’t register your touch to cancel the alarm every one of them have been unplugged and we are now left searching for five new alarm clocks that are compatible with the Amazon ecosystem unfortunately I cannot bring myself to try any other version of the Amazon echo shows because of this experience.

I bought the echo Show 5 around 6 hours ago and so far I am liking it because its a decent alarm clock for my bedroom also the screen and speakers are pretty good also I like the fact that I can now control my Roku TV and govee smart lights just using Alexa even being able to use it as a security camera for my room and being able to use the echo show to watch prime video is really cool but I do have a few problems with the echo dot so far I’ve noticed that the charger falls out of the port way to easily also I hate the fact that you have sponsered ads right on the screen that you cant turn off and I have noticed that the device has been unresponsive at times especially compared to the google Nest Hub (7”) in my kitchen but except for these flaws its a good device

Very helpful for all smart devices easily connect devices and shows all ring cameras. Lets us know anytime there is motion or if someone is ringing the door. You can also see who is at the door. You can set up reminders or add your calendar. You can watch you tube, find recipes, watch netflix and ask it questions. Very easy to setup and will also control your TV. If your on the fence about buying it don't be you will not regret! Especially when you can ask it to turn off your smart bulbs or switches. Love it!

I absolutely love the newest Amazon Echo Show 5. It's the perfect size for my nightstand or kitchen counter, and it does so much! The display is clear, and the sound quality is surprisingly great—much better than the previous model, with noticeable clarity and bass. I use it daily for quick news updates, checking the weather, setting alarms, and controlling my smart home devices. The setup was quick, and the inclusion of Alexa makes everything incredibly easy to use. It's a fantastic, versatile smart display for the price.
