I love this MacBook it is my first one I have ever had it might be old but it runs really well with no problems it updates perfectly fine but it might not be the best on the get because of the year and some thing aren’t compatible with it but so far I have no problems with it.

The price was fair. It had some setup issues I was working to resolve… but the item was not shipped with the correct charging cord. I called, was “transferred” multiple times, and was hung up on a couple times. Customer service was sub par to say the least. I had to quit in the middle of setting it up because I can’t plug it in if it dies. I’m going to have to order a new cord myself.. perhaps elsewhere.

Runs extremely slow, Have had 1 month and screen will no longer turn on. Tried reset method x3 times no luck & out of return window.

MacBook is super light and thin works great up to expectations

This is a pretty good unit however about 4 mo the into it the battery started going bad so I am assuming they didn’t replace this during the refurb. Took to my local Best Buy as advertised by the service person, once getting there I was told they don’t work on older Mac’s like this one, WHAT!!!! I just bought this refurbished machine and it’s to old to work on? Why was I not informed about this before I purchased this unit?? You don’t work on it??!!! All they could do is offer me a in store credit to buy a newer machine. Well not so good on there part as replacing the battery is a simple process and takes less then 20 minutes but flat out refusing to replace it!! So my only choice was to surrender my just bought computer and take a loss as they couldn’t give me full credit for the purchase either or keep it and replace the battery at my expense:-( I did buy a replacement battery via Amazon for like $65 opened it up and did it myself as it is a simple job and tone can do. Now it works great and my wife can be productive on the go. Product is good. HOWEVER BEST BUY REALLY DROPPED THE BALL ON THIS ONE AND IT WILL PROBABLY BE THE LAST TIME I BUY ANY RECONDITIONED ELECTRONICS FROM THE EVER!!!!!!! IF THEY STE NOT GOING TO BACK THERE PRODUCE EVEN WHEN THEY OFFER A Warranty ON THAT PRODUCT AND THEN TELL YOU SORRY THIS UNIT IS TO OLD AND WE DONT WORK ON THEM, this is not honoring the product warranty at least you could have replaced the product with a similar product that was available.

I got this computer as a travel machine, as I do my home computing on a large desktop Mac. I do a lot of photo work in addition to normal text/spreadsheets/email and other functions, so I wanted a fast machine with a sharp screen. I love the size and light weight, the clarity of the screen, the function keys on the keyboard, the speed, and the quietness of operation. I'm very pleased so far, and expect to remain so. I bought this as a refurbished machine, and it is in excellent condition.

First of all the Mac came no dent like new in a nice wrapping bubble to protect it everything the battery life was half of using easy to set up high speed ,worked perfectly at first then after a couple days of using it just stop working the screen went black, then the return process was so easy the people at my Best Buy location was so nice and understanding

I was really excited to find a MacBook for this price. I had never owned one before, and it was going to really help me w/ my job & other daily things. I had been using it daily for a month, and all of the sudden, the screen stopped working,. This has appeared to be an issue with Best Buy pre-owned MacBooks, because I've since seen a few other reviews stating they had the SAME issue a month into ownership. I called Apple, and they stated this was an issue that would likely be costly to repair. I called Best Buy customer service & thankfully they are shipping another one to my house & allowing me to return the damaged one, no questions asked. This screen fault happened only 12 days before my return window expired. I'm lucky, because if this happened outside of the return window, I likely would not be issued a replacement. My advice - If you're planning to buy pre-owned, make sure you purchase some sort of warranty.

It’s btter to get a Best Buy credit card and that way buy the newest MacBook. Worked great for a few months

Excellent product and support from Best Buy. Best Buy also gave me leads to talk to Apple directly. Very good service from both Best Buy and Apple. I had been wanting an Apple product for a cheaper price and Best Buy came through. I am not experienced in Apple and I wanted one to start learning Apple software.

Great value for the price bought this refurbished for one of my kids. Works like new!!!

Buyer Beware! I will never buy a "slightly" used computer from Best Buy ever again. I have so many complaints. First, I did not appreciate the unprofessional condition that the computer came in. The computer came wrapped in bubble wrap, with no box or no instructions. The computer was clearly dirty, with finger print smudges, dirt spots, and the screen was no different. The keyboard had clear finger smudges, grease stains, and sticky. The charger was simply thrown into the box and the cord was not wrapped. The charger's cord had multiple dents in it, as it someone had chewed it repeatedly. The charger also gets very hot after plugging it for short periods of time. The computer was never cleaned and I had to disinfect it. Finally, the computer gets stuck often, I have to reboot and restart it, almost daily. I had no choice but to keep it as I had given my old computer to a colleague and was under a time deadline for my work. I contacted BestBuy.com and they were not apologetic and simply told me that the computer was advertised as "slightly used" and not as new. They only gave me a $30 discount because I demanded it to use toward a new charger. I'm very disappointed, as I would have never expected this from Best Buy. However, this experience has me questioning if I would ever trust or purchase from Best Buy again. Buyer Beware.

Looked brand new…took a lot longer to sign into apple then it would have it been brand new but no damage the charger falls off more times than not due to it not being very magnetically strong anymore

Best Purchase of 2024. Being refurbished would had fooled me. No notice of any wear and tear

this MacBook is so awesome! I love how it is efficient and I love how cheap it was, but it was so worth it

Not bad for the price. I bought it to start making music but I had to go through some extra steps in order for it to run on current Mac OS. Wish I knew that before purchasing
