Let me start by saying that I have an Apple I-phone 14 and an Apple MacBook tablet that are very intuitive, and I am pleased with both. I bought the MacBook Pro 16-inch assuming I would have the same experience. Let me list the issues I have had with the MacBook Pro 16-inch. 1. I bought the MacBook Pro through Best Buy. When I brought the MacBook Pro home and performed the initial set-up there were immediate problems. I immediately took the MacBook Pro back to Best Buy. Geek Squad found a virus on the hard drive. I had Geek Squad clear the virus and add Webroot virus protection. Note: My MacBook Pro was a brand-new computer that had never been opened. 2. I bought Microsoft WORD and EXCEL as a download. There is a constant conflict between Apple's software and MicroSoft WORD. When using WORD the computer continuously has a spinning rainbow globe that prevents me from typing. I am not a fast typist, but I have to stop every minute or two to wait for the globe to stop spinning. Note: I checked with another MacBook Pro owner, and they are having the same experience. 3. I tried and failed to get Microsoft Outlook and my Calendar to sync on the MacBook Pro. I took the MacBook Pro back to Best Buy's Geek Squad a second time and they were unable to get Outlook to run. I did not have email service for three weeks on the MacBook Pro. Then one day I got a message from MicroSoft and a link to set up Outlook and Calendar. I was able to establish Outlook email but it took three weeks. 4. The keyboard for MacBook Pro has one key labeled "DELETE" that acts like a backspace key. Every other laptop I have used has a "DELETE' and "BACKSPACE' key. When you are doing a lot of writing, having both keys are a real benefit. Note to APPLE: Find a place on the keyboard for DELETE and BACKSPACE keys. Note: I checked with other Apple MacBook Pro owners I know, and they share the same frustration. 5. I have an external hard drive that I use to back-up files. The MacBook Pro refuses to recognize the external hard drive. I need to unplug and replug in the external hard drive every day before the MacBook Pro will connect. After 2 months of struggling I realized that I made a mistake with this MacBook Pro purchase. I bought a Lenovo Yoga 7 laptop that was approximately $2000 less cost than the MacBook Pro. I have been using the Lenovo for about 5 weeks and I am very happy. I packed up the MacBook Pro in its original box and it now sits at the bottom of my closet, unused. What a waste of money. Perhaps if you are only using Apple software, the MacBook Pro works intuitively. My experience with using the MacBook Pro with MicroSoft software is that the MacBook Pro is "Clunky". I would NOT recommend the MacBook Pro to a friend or family member.

Great computer. Minus the fact that the screen broke just after a year warranty was up... $800 to fix. Not good. I do not even take this computer anywhere. It just sits on my desk. I would not recomend this computer to anyone.

I have no doubt that I'd love this product, as I love all Apple products. It is the MacBook Pro, specifically sold by Best Buy that I have an issue with. I purchased one that was "open box" and "excellent". The website description specifically stated that nothing was missing. That was inaccurate. No adapter and no charging cord. After numerous attempts to have them send one or discount my product to offset the $150 I need to spend to obtain one, I am giving up. I did get a discounted deal. But the reason I chose it, was because it also included everything I needed to be up and running. Best Buy does not have accurate information on their website concerning Open Items. I cannot support a company that does inaccurately represents a product and will not make it right. I feel very undervalued as a customer, and do not intend to support or recommend Best Buy.

Spent $3K on this macbook and the screen stopped working after 12 1/2 months. This is my third MacBook in 6 years and its been keyboard issues, battery issues, and now screen issues. The store suggested I pay $1,289 to fix the screen on this 1 year old MacBook. Ughh... I'm over it with Apple MacBook and moving to a PC.

Received my Open Box in "excellent condition" MacBook Pro 16'' about an hour ago. It was missing a charger, was dirty, and left on. This most definitely did not remind me of Apple customer service.

Never got it. Took over 3 weeks of shipping issues and still yet to be refunded my $2900 . DO not ship this product if you actually wanna get it. This has been the most unprofessional service and customer services I’ve received. They keep saying “wait wait wait” but it’s been the biggest headache!

Complete amateur hour over at Best Buy. This arrived at my house with no packing peanuts or bubble wrap inside the box. Nothing. It was just sitting in there. A $3,500 laptop. Seriously? The laptop box itself was also dented and punctured on one side. Didn’t even bother opening the laptop just returned it.

Awful ship to home experience from Best Buy. Some joker decided to pack this open-box laptop into a box way too big. So open box the items just bounced around loosely banging into each other for days shipping to me. And of course customer service would only offer to return it (but it's the only open-box they had). This store is going down the tubes.

Purchased a new laptop and found out it was pre-owned when trying to add Apple Care. Paid for a new laptop not open box. Support has not been helpful at all.

Not sure what the big deal is about, seems about as fast as my regular Macbook Pro.
