This MB arrived today but was originally scheduled for 1/2/2019, so +1. It arrived in decent packaging, but not quite the packaging you’d expect from an Apple product or other laptop. Nevertheless, the unit was in excellent cosmetic shape (see photos.) The DVD burner works fine in limited testing. My unit came with 10.10 Yosemite. No dead pixels found on the display. For an old Ivy Bridge i5 dual-core, 4 GB laptop that runs on an old spinning HD, it is remarkably snappy. If I were to run Win10x64 on a machine with the same hardware, I would expect more laggy performance, so kudos again to Apple for a snappy OS. I actually have a couple of upgrades planned for this MBP (2 8 GB RAM sticks and a 500 GB 860 EVO :D,) and I look forward to seeing how it performs with them! My only reservation about this purchase is it’s price. I could’ve gotten this same unit at Micro Center or Amazon for $500 or less. That isn’t an issue if every MBP that comes out of JemJem is in the great shape mine is, but we all know that they often aren’t. Also, the info on this MBP description mentions a USB C port. There are no USB C ports on this laptop. I still recommend it, but give your unit a once-over before tossing the box out to make sure you won’t be sending it back.

I have been extra careful with this laptop, I basically only use it for zoom, work in my Google drive, and watching Netflix. I have not dropped it, downloaded anything sketchy, saved a huge chunk of stuff to it. But somehow, it sucks. This version is so old it doesn't come with imovie or GarageBand and you can't download it yourself either. I put it to charge and it doesn't charge. Now its frozen. The little arrow to click on things randomly disappeared. I tried turning it off, wouldn't turn off. So I let it die and then recharged it. Still frozen. I didn't expect it to be perfect since its refurbished, but I did assume it would be functional. Apparently not. Hundreds of dollars now down the drain.

I jumped on this deal at the time for the price! Unbeatable, If you are using for personal use it’s perfect, for business use I would upgrade the ram for sure! The Bluetooth goes on and off randomly and you have to restart in order to get it back on. This may be an easy fix when upgrading the ram. Other than this I would get it for the great deal!

Laptops performance was unsatisfactory. This item would freeze/lag and was extremely slow with dirty stains. After returning it to my local Best Buy I was apologized to for having this item even sold to me buy two employees who were also surprised this item was even sold. Needless to say It was immediately returned and hope someone else doesn’t go through the same hassle.

Not overly impressed with it.! I guess it’s ok for a refurbished one.! Had a lot of scratches and dents.! The keys on the keyboard stick.! I guess you get what you pay for.! And the free three months anti virus down load does not work on it.! Next time I will not buy a refurbished one.!

I purchased this computer and I knew it was used. Ever since I got it I have had problems. I was only able to login to my iCloud once. Since then I am not able to login as it’s locked to the previous owners iCloud. I do not recommend at all!

For a refurbished MacBook, it's in good condition. It has a dent at the bottom of the computer but that's not a big deal for me. Also runs pretty fine to me. No issues.

Product was DOA and it was a GIFT :-( It really hurt bad that it didn't work. It was making 3 load beeps and I think that was a memory error, I didn't have my tools to fix it. Anyway Best buy took it back and that was that. I think when this happens they should GIVE people a gift card with some cash on it. Or some Steam Bucks! Nothing like watching a 18 year old cry because her college laptop doesn't work.

For less than half the price I paid for a new one, I am quite satisfied with this older MacBook! The only thing is I wish there was still a Microsoft Word version for the older software/operating systems such as this.
