I’ve been purchasing Arlo products for the last 2 years. Out of all the wireless home security systems currently available, Arlo takes the cake. Here’s why: - Their cameras, housings, batteries, and mounts specifically with the Pro 3, Pro 4, Pro 5S, Ultra, and Ultra 2 cameras are interchangeable. - The magnetic charging cable included with these cameras work seamlessly and do not wear out like typical chargers that plug in which eventually become wore out. - Customer service is available immediately through the Arlo app if you have an issue with installation or connection problems. The majority of the issues is because of your internet connection, so check that first. - If you purchase brand new cameras and one of them is faulty in the kits, contacting Arlo to get replacements is easy, all they ask is that you cover the shipping to them before they send you a new replacement unit. - Compared to ALL other wireless cameras on the market, the video & audio quality is top tier, especially with the Ultra 2 4K cameras which have a 180 degree field of view that eliminates the fish eye effect. The Arlo Pro 3, Pro 4, and Pro 5S have a 160 degree field of view, and these are adjustable through the Arlo app. Some improvements I’d suggest Arlo take note of: - I’d like to see the Arlo Ultra 2 with similar improvements like the the Pro 5S cameras, which include dual-band WiFi, better battery life, and the ability to connect to internet without a Smarthub. Currently the Arlo Ultra 2 cameras need to be connected to a Smarthub to work. But this also has an added benefit because the Smarthub allows you to store footage locally without an Arlo Subscription plan. Everybody likes free stuff. On the last note, anytime I’ve been asked which wireless system to go with, I always suggest Arlo. So if anyone complains that they do not like their products for whichever reason, or they are not working properly, or the batteries don’t last long, it’s because they’re not aware that many of these issues are user error. Battery life and features are all adjustable through the app. These cameras have so much technology packed into one tiny unit that when used properly, crushes the competition easily. When you’re using these cameras at their fullest capacity, the value you get is well worth the price.

So far so good! Replacing (3) Arlo Pro 2 cams outside in the southern California desert. These Arlo Pro 2 cams have taken a beating and have been incredibly tough and resilient. I have only connected 1 so far as i ran out of daylight, but upgrade from 1080p to 2k with a 160° field of view is amazing!! The clarity is phenomenal. I have had no issues and set up was a breeze. I have more trouble connecting IoT lights and hubs than these. And the package i got was $200 off!!

I’m sure my cameras were defective after a week of use because the product we’re easy to install and worked pretty well at the beginning. Easy access to view footage and setup camera routine through the app or online. However after a week the cameras went offline after an outage from my internet service. I did every possible way to get them to reconnect but nothing worked. I looked on their app to troubleshoot the issue and saw articles on the Arlo website to understand why it went from blinking blue to amber quickly. I even connected with a arlo service agent and they only provided the same steps and the issue still occurred. I used my internet router before to connect and the cameras worked fine but this time that wasn’t the case even after I reset the cameras and tried to reinstall them. I only would hear the chime of the cameras connecting to the QR code and see the camera blink from blue to amber. Then get on the app No Cameras Were Found. I did not use Arlo’s base station or smarthub. I decided to return them after the new year to avoid this headache. Maybe I’ll get new ones after.
